Hello Everyone,
So here I am, trying to waste my time before turning in my paper online because I got nothing in my head to fill up with pages. I thought why not come to my favorite forum and procrastinate for a bit longer š So this is going to be a dramatic and maybe comic scenario from one of the prompts that someone mentioned long time ago, which Sejal brought back in her post. The prompt goes like: "If anyone interferes between RagNa.. including Kalpana.. herself.. i want Raghav to blackmail them all saying, he would destroy the chawl ... and scare others out.. so.. no other option, but chawl people will convince Kalpana... to marry him, or they will lose their shelter.."
Whoever's scenario that was, kudos to you!! š I loved the idea and using it too so hopefully you don't mind too much š³
Alright so here goes nothing folks. Enjoy my semi-awake state ramblings:
Raghav grits his teeth one more time when he hears Kalpana breaking of their relationship - again. This time it was more serious than any other times. Why? It was because it had to do with her beloved Aai.
"Sir, please try and understand. Hum sapno ki duniya main the lekin ab nahiin. Sir, meri aai mujhe kabhi maaf nahii karegi. I can't do this to her. I love her way too much."
She turned around to face away from him when she heard his whisper.
"What about me? What about us? Don't you want us? Is it so easy for you to break what we have?"
Kalpi didn't say anything. She just couldn't choose between the two. She didn't want Raghav to do that either, knowing the special place Kamla has in his life. She didn't want her mother to lose that because of her. So, she did what she thought was the best. She left before anything else could happen.
The next day wasn't as everyone had planned it to be. Kamla woke up content, knowing that Kalpi had broken off her relationship with Raghav baba. She was happy that her daughter had listened to her. She knew that it would heart but all wounds heal with time and this will heal too with time. Little did she know that that won't happen because Raghav has other plans.
She heard a incessant knock on her door early in the morning. She quickly got up and made herself presentable before opening the door. What she saw next left her confused. There was a crowd of chawl people standing at the door, looking angrily at her.
"Teri Kalpi kaha hai?" One of them asked in a high pitched voice. Kamla was left confused.
"Arre huwa kya hai?" Kamla quickly interjected as she came outside the door, as if protecting the door itself.
Her efforts were futile because Kalpi had heard the commotion and came outside to see what it was about. She was so surprised when the people, upon seeing her, started dragging her downstairs. Before she could say anything else, she was being taken down the stairs with Kamla on her tail. Finally they stopped where everyone was gathered to talk. They all looked at her angrily. Then as quickly as that had all happened, one of the female members dropped to his knees and clutched on to her feet. She tried struggling out of the firm grip but to no avail.
"Yeh aap kya kar rahiin hai?"
"Kalpi, Dekh meri baat sun!! Raghav baba se shaadi karle!"
More than Kalpi, Kamla was shocked. What was the lady saying? And how had she known about this? Before she could faint again, she held herself up (because Kamla Ma in my scenarios tend to faint a lot lol)
[I am typing in English from here on because I am in hurry]
"Arre Aunty, what are you saying? Marry who?"
This time everyone in the crowd started speaking up.
"How can you not marry such a nice guy? He's done so much for our chawl! How can you reject a guy who is so sincere in his regards for you?"
"Yeah, at least give it a chance beta! It will save us all such a huge trouble. He's done so much for us and now you can't even marry him for all he's done for us?"
"What about you Kamla Ma? He's saying that you don't agree to this proposal! Why? He's such a great guy and you've always treated him like a son. Why won't you let her marry him?"
"They have such an intense history and chemistry too Kamla Ma! How could you?!" - a teenager threw out.
"Please Kamla Ma, humare liye. Please!"
"Yeah, who cares about what those rich people think? Raghav baba loves our Kalpi and we should do everything to unite them!"
Before anyone could further add anything, Kalpi held up her hand, "What's going on? How did you know all of this? And why do you want me to get married to him?"
The chawl people told her that Raghav had come really early in the morning and told them that he had liked Kalpi but she has rejected him for the fear of her mother and society. He had then angrily looked at them, as if they had betrayed him and given them the ultimatum that if Kalpi doesn't agree to marry him then the chawl will be gone and he will make sure of it. They knew that their beloved Raghav baba wouldn't ever do anything like this But they still wanted to convince Kamla so he could get his love. He's done so much for them and now it was time for them to do something for him. They couldn't just back out! So they had all decided to convince Kamla in a joint effort.
Kalpi was really shocked and impressed to hear this. She just couldn't help but smile at how rightly they understood Raghav but she silently looked at her mother.
Kamla was finding it hard to stand her ground because not only was she about to faint from all the fiasco but also because her concerns were fully answered. She had no choice but to smile and nod her head at Kalpi. When that happened, Raghav appeared from behind the door.
He smiled that huge smile at Kalpi and she ran to him to engulf him in giant hug. Kamla, being Kamla, couldn't hold on any longer and finally gave in to her initial reaction and fainted - this time because she was on cloud nine!
And this happened all the while Vithal and Pakya were still peacefully sleeping.

Yeah so I really need to get back to my paper now. Hope you enjoyed it. I know that it won't happen but I liked the prompt so what the heck?
