God, it seems like it's been forever! These papers and midterms, I tell you! It's killing me and taking my time away from other more entertaining things 😆
Alright, so I am sure that most of you are super excited after last week, especially since the whole forum burst into activity and brought up the rank to 8th position again [🥳] - Thank you to all who did that and GOOD Job! 👏👍🏼
So I am here to pay my taxes to this forum, in forms of my two cents (because I am a poor college student and that's how much I can afford to give at this point lol)
Coming on to the previous episodes, the confession episode (April 17th) was beautiful and really well-portrayed. However, I liked the April 18th episode - the one that followed up with their emotional conversation. There are two instances in particular that highly stood out to me and I will mention each below. On a side note, I was definitely expecting some emotional moments but what followed blew my mind completely!! I was pleasantly surprised. Alright, so let's start with my first favorite instant.
Alright, so I feel like the above scene has very obvious reasons that I like it for. It isn't only because Raghav is so vocal about his feelings. I am sure many have mentioned before but it's so refreshing to see a guy being so vocal. At first, I used to get so shocked and it was hard to digest because I had initially thought he wouldn't be so vocal but now that I see the depth of his devotion to her, it's just so heart-breaking. This scene didn't only matter to me because he didn't want her to leave. It was a very different feeling for him, because he had been waiting for her to hint at her feelings for him (at least a little more explicitly). So when she had accepted that she liked him, he had seen that green light that he's been waiting for. I personally think that's the reason he was holding off on telling her about his past. He wanted to make sure that the person he entrusted and shared his demons with would at least want to listen first. He didn't want to burden someone about his past demons when that person wasn't as invested. After he confirmed that she felt for him, the first thing he did was clear the air about his past (and I am sooo happy for that. Good move there Raghav baba!!)
I was expecting an emotional confrontation as I said before but I absolutely loved how CVs showed Kalpi's support throughout his revelation. I loved how when he started saying things about how he didn't want her to leave as well, just like others who have left him, Kalpi was right there besides him. When he stopped himself from speaking, she came beside him and put her reassuring hand on his shoulder, prompting him to speak and telling him that she's not going anywhere. I loved how in one simple gesture, she told him that he wasn't alone anymore. This simple gesture made him smile because he realized what she was saying too. This was another huge step she took towards him. I was just so hung up on this gesture that I couldn't help but rewind this scene again and again because of so much care put into portraying this.
It's true that Raghav is taking leaps towards her - HUGE leaps. However, Kalpi isn't that behind anymore either. After letting herself finally admit she has feelings for him, she's willing to take HUGE steps towards him. She's doing things for him that she has never done before. This was so beautifully portrayed in the next scene - My Favorite Instant of the episode.
Can I just stop and take a moment to appreciate RagNa here? Ashish and Rachna were so PERFECT here! This scene broke my heart and I swear I absolutely loved it!
I loved how Raghav didn't leave even an instant in unlocking his past to her. This showed the level of trust that they are developing in their relationship. Now I know why he didn't want her to see the album before, when she found it previously while cleaning up. He wanted to share it with her when the time was right. He was ready to that at that moment, when she finally accepted her feelings for him. Now that she has shown that she has trusted her heart with him, he has decided to do the same and tell her about his deep secrets (that anyone could potentially use against him). He was showing her his weakness, and not just the weakness due to his feelings. He was showing her all of his secrets and insecurities. I absolutely loved how Kalpi started crying seeing him in pain. The way her heart went out to his pain was so exquisitely portrayed by the actors.
While he was spilling out his insecurities and pains to her, she was just listening as a support. She tried to reason with him to lessen his pain, so she could help him. When she couldn't do that, she did what she thought was the only thing she could do. She embraced him. She gave him the warmth that he was missing from his mother. Yes she could never replace his mother but she could share his pain. He knows that . She knows that. And I love how she just hugged him, without any reservations or discomfort. It wasn't about shyness anymore. It was about the fact that she wanted to take his pain away - lot like he wanted to make her happy and tried to exactly that in many instances. She was returning the same gesture and that was really beautiful.
Honestly, I don't have enough words for the emotional confrontation that happened. It was just mind-blowing for me. I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did, if not more. I just loved it.
P.S. - Sorry for being MIA for a while, but had midterm tests and still have papers due. But I am definitely planning to be more active this week because I am super excited about Pakhi finding out about RagNa and about Raghav meeting his mother! CVs really know how to keep us hooked 😳
