Naman Shaw (Nakul of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi) says that he only visits temples when he wants something from God.
"Whenever I feel the need, I visit the temple. However, I never say thank you. Next time whenever I visit, I will say sorry for not coming to say thank you and will once again ask God for something! This time I want to go as my new show has came on air (Naman is playing Girish in Kasturi)," says Naman.
He adds, "Whenever I go to the temple I never perform puja. I am not religious and never perform puja at home too. However, I do believe in God. I even say my wish in the mouse's ear when I visit Siddhivinayak, as there is a belief that if you say your wish in its ear, it will definitely be fulfilled by Ganesha,"
On the temples he has visited, he says, "As of now, I have only visited Siddhivinayak and the Hare Ram Hare Krishna Temple at Juhu in Mumbai. I have been to Kalighat Mandir in Kolkata and the Balaji temple in Bangalore.
"Recently, we had been to Pune for a picnic. There, we went to a mandir at the Pune–Mumbai road. I do not remember the name of the temple. However, it was a Shiva mandir. Ekta made us (Prachi Desai, Bani from Kasamh Se and me) climb many steps."
Naman is doing three serials of Balaji currently - Kyunki, Kasamh Se and Kasturi and is fast becoming the blue-eyed boy of Ekta. In Kasturi, he is playing the parallel lead. Naman had participated in Zee TV's Cinestar Ki Khoj in 2005.
