CID Giraftaar - IV

Scene : CID vehicle
Kavin, Purvi, Nikhil and the other new cop played by Maninder Singh (forgot his name 😆) are discussing the case. Salunkhe calls them and tells that the finger prints found where the 2 undercover cops were killed had matched with the fingerprints found at the other murder spot.
They go in search of the drug dealers who probably know about Daya's wherabouts.
The 4 cops reach a river bank where some guys are seen transporting huge boxes in a boat. The boat is in the middle of the river.
Kavin sees that the guys are escaping with the boat. He drives in full speed, drives off a cliff and the car flies in the air in slow motion. The goons pause to admire the flying car. Our 4 cops open the doors of the car in mid-air, do a perfect skydive and land right inside the boat. The precious CID vehicle plunges into the river.
Our cops arrest the head goon and ask him about the drugs. The goon says that the boxes don't contain drugs. Nikhil checks the boxes and finds the boxes filled with guns. The goon says that more weapons are going to arrive soon and every night is going to be a Diwali and every day would be a 'Khoon ki Holi'. 😵
Our cops ask him about Daya but the guy swallows a capsule of poison and dies.
Scene : A conference hall
The CEO of a company talks about the milestones achieved by his company to his team when a goon walks in and asks everyone else to go out. Everyone leaves but the CEO remains there.
The goon tells the CEO that CID team has seized all their weapons. The CEO gets angry and says that CID team's days are numbered.
Scene : Bus stop
Abhijeet walks to a man standing in the bus stop and asks him if the task is done. The guy says yes and gives a file to Abhijeet. This file contains the call records of both Abhijeet and Daya. Abhijeet thanks him and walks off.
Scene : Bureau
ACP laments over the death of all undercover cops and the wife of one cop. He also says it is shameful that CID team couldn't even prevent the death of the guy who could have led them to Daya. (the guy who died by eating poison in a para above)
Shreya suggests that since the bullet found in Daya's body was from Abhijeet's gun...(doesn't say the rest of course, she obviously hints that Abhijeet had shot at Daya). Sachin says that he is aware of her 'soft corner' for Daya but it is not right to suspect Abhijeet on the basis of a ballistic report. Abhijeet has no motive to shoot Daya.
To this Shreya says that Abhijeet indeed has a motive to shoot Daya.
(😡 😡 😡 What the hell are you talking Shreya!!!)
Flashback:
Daya and Shreya go to a hideout to arrest one Raghu - a wanted criminal. Daya catches one goon outside while Shreya goes in to arrest Raghu. There is a fight between Shreya and Raghu. Raghu fires at Shreya but misses. In defence Shreya shoots at Raghu and he dies. Hearing the gunshots Daya comes in and is unhappy that Raghu is dead. Shreya apologises for being unable to catch him alive and says she'll resign
Back at the bureau Abhijeet scolds Shreya for killing Raghu. Shreya tells Abhijeet that she had aimed at his leg but had missed and the bullet hit his chest.
(why did Daya have to remind us about that screaming Shreya in a chemistry lab and how he pulled out the bullet through a hole in her top 🤢)
Daya asks Abhijeet to close this topic. Abhijeet asks Daya if the same mistake was done by Sachin would he have said the same thing. Daya tells Abhijeet not to be blinded by the sense of duty to such an extent that he forgets about peoples' feelings and emotions. (😵) Shreya is in tears, Daya walks off.
Back to present in the bureau.
ACP says that there could be another solid reason/desperation because of which Abhijeet had shot Daya.
Sachin tells Shreya that Abhijeet is not the kind to shoot at Daya because of a small argument. (the only person talking sense in the whole episode)
Scene: Dark godown
Abhijeet reaches the place where Daya was asked to come thru SMS. On looking around he finds blood drops on the floor and indications of a scuffle. He finds a dried leaf on which there is a golden tooth with traces of blood.
Scene : Back to argument in bureau
Sachin tells ACP that the tension between Abhijeet and duo is not due to Raghu's case, but another incident related to a missing bag which happened a few days back.
Flashback
Abhijeet and Daya reach the hideout of a goon named Daraka who is discussing with his accomplices about fake notes. Daya reveals himself and asks the goons to surrender. There's a shootout and most of the goons are overpowered by duo. Abhijeet and Daya discover a bag full of currency notes. While they are busy looking at the notes one of the injured guys shoots at Abhijeet. Daya notices in the nick of time and pushes Abhijeet away; the bullet scrapes Daya's arm.
Abhijeet drops Daya at his house and bandages the bullet injury. He then writes 'Abhijeet' on the bandage and says 'ghaav jaldi sukh jaayega'. (kuch zyada nahi hua yeh???)
Abhijeet decides to leave when he remembers the bag full of money. He tells Daya that he'll take it to the bureau. Daya says that there's no hurry and that they both could take it the next morning. Abhijeet agrees and goes home.
Next day Daya comes to the bureau and tells Abhijeet that the bag is stolen. Abhijeet is surprised that someone could enter the house of someone like Daya and steal a bag. (yes indeed!!!).
He asks Daya if he had given a duplicate key to anyone. Daya gives a sarcastic expression (as if accusing Abhijeet of stealing the bag) and says that Abhijeet himself had the duplicate keys. (Whose brainchild is this scene 😡)
Back to present in the bureau
ACP gets angry that Abhijeet and Daya had concealed this fact from him. Sachin says that there's more to this story.
Flashback (again!!!)
Abhijeet returns to his house and takes off his coat. He enters his bedroom to find the missing bag in the corner. He opens it and finds it full of money. Suddenly the doorbell rings. He opens the door to see officials from the enforcement department. They say that they have come to conduct a search of his house as they had got the information that Abhijeet had taken a bribe from a criminal. Abhijeet gets worried about the bag in his bedroom. The officials search the house but find nothing. Abhijeet enters his bedroom and finds that the bag of money had vanished. The enforcement dept officials apologise and leave. Abhijeet checks his bedroom to see where and how the bag had disappeared. He finds the bandage with his name written on it in a corner. (the same bandage from Daya's arm) He thinks this is Daya's doing.
(Why would Daya leave that old bandage as a proof!!! why would Daya try to frame Abhijeet for heaven's sake!!! Friendship is not seen in writing each other's names on bandages and tattooing each others' names on their arms. It's supposed to be seen in trust. 😡)
Back to present.
ACP gets angry that Abhijeet and Daya had concealed all these facts and he even shouts at Sachin for not telling him about the raid in Abhijeet's house. Sachin says that he thought the enforcement department guys had informed ACP directly. Nikhil says that Daya may have taken the bag with him. Shreya says that if Daya had wanted to frame Abhijeet why would he hide the bag from the enforement guys. ACP says that there's someone who is controlling Abhijeet and Daya and that person is from CID, because no one else knows about the undercover cops.
DCP Chitroley is seen listening to this conversation from the corridor outside the bureau.
Flashback yet again. This time Chitroley's memories.
Chitroley is seen hiding in an underground car park when a guy arrives on a bike with a bag. Chitroley phones the guy and asks him to place the money in the boot of a car. He then asks him to take the paper which contains the list of all undercover cops from the boot. The guy takes the list and leaves. After some time chitroley opens the boot, takes the money and congratulates himself for earning 4 crore rupees. He drives off on a cool looking bike.
Back to present in the bureau
Chitroley walks into the bureau and asks for Abhijeet. ACP tells him that Abhijeet is missing. Chitroley says that he always knew Abhijeet would be involved in 'ulta-seedha kaam'. (17 years of being Sr Insp Abhijeet has won him this reputation. Fantastic!)
Chitroley asks CID team to keep an eye on Tarika (for obvious reasons, you know)
Scene : Phone booth
As predicted by Chitroley Abhijeet phones Tarika and says that he wants to meet her. Tarika says that she can't leave the lab now. But Abhijeet says that he has got some evidence which would lead them to the actual criminal. He asks her to come to Jack's coffee shop.
Scene : Jack's coffee shop.
Tarika waits for Abhijeet and after some time Abhijeet arrives. She tells Abhijeet that she 'likes' him.😲 But it is becoming increasingly difficult for her to work behind Salunkhe's back. Abhijeet tells her that this is the last time he's troubling her and gives her the golden tooth he had found. He asks her to test the DNA of the blood.
The waiter comes to take their order. Tarika orders a capuccino and Abhijeet asks for a tea. She asks him if he would like to eat anything. Exactly at that moment Chitroley arrives there and says '2-3 biscuit'. Tarika and Abhijeet are shocked. They wonder who had tipped Chitroley off about Abhijeet, when Shreya reveals that she had overheard Tarika talking to Abhijeet from the lab.
Scene : Bureau
Abhijeet walks into the bureau in handcuffs. He tells ACP and DCP the he's innocent.
ACP asks Abhijeet why he had disobeyed his (ACP's ) orders but surrendered to DCP Chitroley. DCP says that Abhijeet had not surrendered but 'gun ki nok par giraftaar karke laaya hoon ise'. Abhijeet says that he had not allowed himself to be arrested out of fear of Chitroley's gun, but purely out of respect for Chitroley.
ACP tells Abhijeet that the bullet found in Daya's body was from Abhijeet's gun. Abhijeet is shocked to hear this. Abhijeet tries to recollect what had happened but fails. DCP points the gun at Abhijeet and asks him to reveal the truth. Abhijeet angrily dares DCP to shoot at him. DCP of course doesn't actually shoot at Abhijeet.
DCP then asks Abhijeet why he had shot at the undercover cop. Abhijeet says he doesn't know but after ACP asks him repeatedly Abhijeet finally says that he had shot at the undercover cop on ACP's orders.
They show a flashback Abhijeet shooting at the undercover cop with ACP's voice saying "shoot Abhijeet, shoot!"
ACP says 'tumse yeh ummed nahi thi'. Again Abhijeet tries to recollect what had happened and says that it was indeed ACP's voice he had heard.
Scene : Hideout
Daya is tied up and there are a few goons surrouding him. One goon gets a call from his boss and he then tells another goon to kill Daya.
Daya suddenly frees himself and beats up the goons. He finds a mobile lying on the ground, picks it up and calls the bureau.
As if she knew by telepathy that it's Daya who is calling Shreya rushes and answers the call. Chitroley switches on the loud speaker. Daya then asks for Abhijeet (oh, remembered him, did you??)
Daya addresses Shreya first and then Abhijeet and tells them that he's in an unknown place and he'll try and find his way back. ACP asks who had kidnapped him. Daya doesn't reply. Chitroley repeats the question. Daya is surprised to hear his voice. Chitrloey tells Daya that he had come to the bureau to find out who had shot at him (Daya).
Daya doesn't answer. DCP asks him if he was trying to save Abhijeet. Then ACP asks Daya clearly as to who had fired at him. Daya first avoids answering by saying that he's in pain and may not survive.
Abhijeet asks him to speak out and tell who had shot at him. ACP repeats the question 3-4 times and finally Daya says 'aapne mari sir', meaning ACP had shot Daya! 😲 Everyone is shocked.
