paanch means 5 and aali means wife so drapadhi paanch mens ki wife thats why panchaali

WRONG.

This is the biggest misconception that people have about the name "Panchali".

Panchali means Princess of Panchal (aka Draupadi's maayka).

In those days, princesses used to be named after their maayka kingdoms - Madri, Gandhari, Kunti, etc. Granted, Kunti was originally Pritha, but after she was adopted by King Kuntibhoj, Pritha became Kunti.

Actually No!

Panchali has nothing to do with the Pandavas.

She is the Princess of Panchal , so she is Panchali.

Like Gandhari is the princess of Gandhar, so she is Gandhari.

Pritha is the princess of Kunti-Bhoj, so we call her Kunti.

Princess of Madra, Madri.

Her name is Krishnaa

Called as Panchali since she is the princess of Panchal
Called as draupadi since she is the daughter of drupad.
Called yagyaseni since she is born out of yagya

guys may be iam wrong but iam south indian and in telugu .in telugu some movies and some books they said that draupadhi ko panchaali ka yeh naam pandavs se shaadhi karne ke baadhi mila hai .thats why i said that .if i hurt any one one feelings sorry🤗

bcoz she was the princess of panchaal and therefore she was called as panchaali.
