I think people have forgotten what it means to bash. Performances elicit responses - that is the mark of a good performance so it is perfectly alright to have reactions to characters. You are allowed to have an opinion on characters and share those opinions in a discussion. Isn't that the whole point of participating in these things - to hear other perspectives and to consider view points that you hadn't considered before?

As long as you can support your claims and back up your opinions without leaving statements like "Jalal is stupid," especially without any kind of supporting information, it is not bashing.

But, refusing to respect and consider others' views is a problem.

I think we can sum this up as to people getting offended too easily on behalf of semi-fictional characters.😆
