Aastha smiled silently standing at her place, remembering Shlok's words... I wanted to tell this since morning... Aaj tum achhi lag rahi ho...! Aastha was blushing. Kalindi saw it. She was worried and angry too at the same time. "Aastha!!" she called her in anger. Aastha stopped smiling and walked to the door. "Yeh koi waqt hai ghar aane ka?" scolded Kalindi. Is this the time to return home? Aastha remained silent. "And why didn't you come with Aakash? What was so important that you had to wait?" Anjali asked. "Aai..." explained Aastha, "Shlok Sir wanted to have an urgent meeting... and..." Kalindi interrupted, "Kal bhi toh le sakte thay woh meeting... Why does he take meetings after the working hours?!" Kalindi was angry. "Yeh toh meri bhi samajh mein nahi aaya... Why did he call for the meeting so urgently?" said Aastha thoughtfully. "We could have had the meeting tomorrow too..." Aastha was confused. "But Aai, you know what? Good that we had the discussion today... we came to know about two major issues that need to be solved soon...!! And for that I needed this file..." told Aastha showing the file in her hand. She contunied, "But this file was with Shlok Sir at his home... So we collected the file from his home and then he came to drop me...!" Kalindi was still unhappy... "Why don't you understand Aastha... You are..." The ring of Aastha's phone interrupted Kalindi. Aastha looked at the screen of her phone... "Rahul Sir?!!" she was confused looking at the name of the caller. She picked up the call... "Yes Sir?" She hear a worried voice of Rahul, "Aastha, is Shlok with you by any chance??" Aastha replied, "Sir, he dropped me and left for home just now...!" Rahul was relieved... "Okay... okay... good!" Aastha was confused wondering why Rahul had called her. "Err... is everything okay Sir? You seem tensed...!" said Aastha. "Actually Shlok has left his phone at home" explained Rahul, "and you both left home around 7. Shlok has still not returned home. So everyone was worried. They tried to call him but his phone was at home... They didn't have your number, so they called me to find out where Shlok was. That's why I called you." "There's nothing to worry Sir, Shlok Sir will reach home in about ten minutes!" told Aastha. As the call ended, Kalindi and others were curiously looking at Aastha to know why Rahul had called her at this time. Aastha explained the reason. Now Kalindi was more worried and suspicious. "What?!" she exclaimed, "You both left at 7 and you are reaching home at 9:45!! Where have you been Aastha? What were you doing all this time?!!" Aastha was somewhat shocked at Kalindi's question. "Aai... don't worry... Hum log Shlok Sir ke ghar ke baahar hi thay... Actually Shlok Sir wanted to speak to me about..." Aastha paused. She remembered what Shlok had said... "Please don't tell anyone that I cried in front of you okay?"
Aastha continued, "Err... he wanted to tell me something important!! That took some time... that's why we were late...!" "And what important thing was it that he wanted to tell you?" asked Kalindi suspiciously. "Sorry Aai" said Aastha, "but I can't tell that...! I have promised him that I wont tell anyone...!" Everyone was shocked. Kalindi couldn't believe it. "You can't tell about it, Aastha?!!" she said. "Believe me Aai," said Aastha, "if I had not promised him, I would surely have told you everything!" Kalindi was still not satisfied. "Enough Aastha... you are not understanding that..." Avdhoot interrupted... "Kalindi...! Let her atleast come inside... She must be tired and hungry too...!" Anjali didn't say anything. Aastha went to her room to change wondering... "Aai ko kya ho gaya hai? What's wrong with Aai today?!"

Shlok reached home. Everyone was waiting for him to return. They were a bit relieved after Rahul informed them that Shlok was on his way. Shlok entered in and saw everyone waiting in the drawing room. Aditi hurried towards him, "Where have you been Shlok?!" she asked, "We all were so worried!" As expected by everyone, Shlok walked past her without answering. He stopped as he walked past Anjali. She seemed the most worried of all. He had no guts to look into her eyes. He just looked down as he stood near her. "Sorry..." he said to no one in particular. But he meant it for Anjali. "I should have informed...!" he said and walked to his room. Everyone stood shocked at their places. Shlok said "sorry" today?! Really?!
Shlok changed, freshened up and sat on the bed closing his eyes. He was still thinking on Aastha's words about Anjali. He had regret in his heart. He felt bad for all that he had done to Anjali. His eyes became wet. There was a knock on his door. He opened his eyes and saw Aditi standing at the door. "Come Shlok, dinner is ready! Everyone is waiting!!" she said smiling. "Tum chalo, main aata hoon...!" he said. "Come soon!" said Aditi and went away.

"Didn't you hear what she said?!" Kalindi was angry at Aastha. "She denied to tell anything!!" said Kalindi as she kept the plates on the table for dinner. "Kalindi..." said Avdhoot trying to calm her down, "kum se kum apni beti pe toh vishwas rakho! We must believe in our girl! She can never do anything wrong... we know it!" Kalindi was still not ready to listen. "Avdhoot theek keh raha hai Kalindi..." Ajju agreed with Avdhoot... "He is right! We know our Aastha very well!" "Theek hai" said Kalindi finally. "Fine, she hasn't done anything wrong... I know! But I don't want her to do anything wrong in future too! I need to talk to her right now!" said Kalindi as she began walking towards Aastha's room. Avdhoot stopped her... "Kalindi, wait! Let's have dinner first...! Phir tum uss se aaraam se baat kar lena...!" said Avdhoot. Ajju nodded in agreement. Kalindi served food in the plates. Aastha came down after changing. She seemed very excited since morning. She had worn a constant smile on her face. And Kalindi, Avdhoot and Ajju knew very well the reason behind the smile.

Shlok came down for dinner. Everyone was waiting for him. "Aagaye tum beta..!" said Niranjan with a smile. "Come everyone, let's begin!" he said as everyone took their places. Anjali was sitting across Shlok, but not once did he look at her. He just couldn't. He took the first bite and his eyes were wet. With great difficulty he held on his tears from flowing down. He kept looking downward so that no one noticed his wet eyes. He cleared his throat and said... "Sabzi achhi hai...!" This was yet another shock for everyone. Shlok appreciated the food!! "Aai has prepared it today!!" informed Sojal. "I know!" said Shlok still looking down. "I can recognize that by the taste... Pehli baar thodi kha raha hoon...!" he said. Shlok's reply surprised everyone. Anjali was pleasantly shocked. Her eyes watered. This was the first ever time Shlok had appreciated her. She was very happy.

Tumse sun ke yeh taareef ke shabd...
Mili hai mujhe aaj behadd khushi...
Ab intezaar hai mujhe uss din ka...
Jis din bol padegi yeh khaamoshi...
