Chapter-11

"Doctor, how is kriya. Is she alright?" Anyone could see that worry lines formed on his forehead.

The doctor stepped to the side and walked past rey and he held kriya's wrist and checked her pulse rate and looked back at rey..

"She is doing fine Mr.Singhaniya"

"Then what happened to her?" Karan spoke up.

"Has she been under any stress lately?" Rey shook his head.

"Well it may be a good sign that she might be recovering her memory back or it could be that she had a lot of things in her mind causing her to over stress never the less we will keep her over night here just to monitor her"

The doctor left the room and Rey went to Kriya's side and sat on the chair while Karan took the armchair.

"Karan, You should go home and take some rest" Rey spoke when he noticed Karan yawning.

"No, I'M okk here"

"You just got here, you are probably jet lagged, go home and have some sleep"

Karan shook his head n told "Rey If u came to US n if something happened to your bhabhi Would u simply leave me and go home?"

Rey smiled at him.

"That's it" Karan stretched his legs and rested his head back against the wall.

A few hours went by Karan was fully asleep but Rey was still awake incase Kriya woke up.His eyes felt drowsy and sleepy but he tried his best to stay awake.But all failed,as soon as his eyes slightly started closing and he fell asleep with his head resting on Kriya's hands.

Kriya slightly opened her eyes,her eyes adjusted to the bright light shining in from the window. She looked around the atmosphere and realized she was in hospital. She glanced at Karan who was sleeping on the armchair,then only she felt something heavy on her hand.She looked at it and found the most amazing sight.Rey was sleeping with his head on her hands.She smiled at him looking ever so innocent and sweet. She thought not to disturb him and struggled to move without waking him up.But to her disappointment,the minute she flinched,Rey woke.He jerked up and his eyes wide as he saw Kriya smiling at him.

"When did you wake up?"

"Just now"

Rey got up from the chair and helped her to sit up on the bed and took her hands in his.

"How are you feling now?"

"I'm okk but a little hungry"

He nodded his head and got up.kissing her lightly on the cheek ,he left the room and informed the doctor that Kriya awake and asked the nurse to get her something to eat.

The doctor came in and checked Kriya.He smiled and faced Rey

"She is is completely alright now.she will be discharged in the morning."

Karan thanked the doctor and sat opposite to Kriya.

"So you are ok now?"

"Yes I am.." she smiled at him and continued "I guess I was a bit stressed and tired from the house work"

Rey frowned.

"That's it. When you get home u r completely bed ridden."

"But rey.." before she could complete,he interrupted.

"No buts.. Kriya.What if this was something serious. You need to take care of urself"

Okk.. But what about the breakfast,lunch n dinner. Who will make it? You always wake up late"

"I don't care. As of now I want you to be safe. Once we reach home,I won't let u set a foot off the bed."

Karan grinned as he saw these two argue over whether kriya needed rest or not. He smiled as he realized how much these two resembled him and his girlfriend Jennifer. He chuckled to himself as he remembering what rey had said about being uncomfortable with Kriya after what happened between them. But if anyone saw these two people,they would definitely think that this pair were married let alone a couple, they sure argued as much as married couple do. Karan watched as Rey began feeding Kriya the soup that the nurse bought in.He could understand that at that moment Kriya was all that mattered to Rey, nothing or no one else. Karan made it a point to make rey realize that there was something between him and Kriya,he might be in love with Kriya. Karan shook his head and sat back and continued to watch the two of them.

Rey opened the front door and help Kriya to enter inside. Karan walked past them and went to the living room while Rey took Kriya upstairs to their room.Rey made Kriya lie on the bed,despite her many protests. She had given up on trying to reason with him,he wasn't going to let her do anything .So she might as well as enjoy the pampering he was going to give her.

She lay in the bed and rested her head against the wall.Rey kissed her forehead and was about to leave but Kriya held his hand, he looked back at her with a confused look.

"Rey.. we haven't... talk about that night"

He breathed deeply,He knew she would ask this at any time and he had even mentally prepared for this. But somehow the moment she mentioned about it,his stomach felt funny.

"what about it?" He spoke up

Kriya hugged him tightly closing her eyes and whispered.

"It was amazing ... I love you Rey. I thought I did but now I know."

Rey sighed not knowing what to say.He simply brushed his lips with hers

"Now go and sleep"

He forced her to lie down and covered her with a blanket and left the room.He found Karan standing outside by stairs.

That's Rohan's room right?" Karan asked while pointing towards the room.

Rey nodded his head and took out the key and unlocked the room while Karan followed him and closed the room behind him.

Karan glanced around the room,there were boxes on the floor, photos shattered around here and there.The curtains were shut and there was dust everywhere.He walked around the room and looked at the pictures of rey and rohan then looked back at rey. He had really changed.In that picture rey was happy and cheerfull but now the rey that stood infront of him looked like he had the weight of whole World in his shoulder.

Rey took the picture of Rohan and Kriya and showed it to Karan.

"I feel like I had taken bhai's place in her life"

Karan glanced at the photo and put it down. He kept his hand on Rey's shoulder and pulled rey towards him,hugging him.And for the first time rey cried, he cried for the loss of his brother,he cried for how guilty he felt,he cried for everything.Karan comforted him and allowed him to cry.Atleast it would make sure that Rey felt a little less burdened than he felt right then.

After a few minutes he pulled back and wiped his tears and smiled at Karan nervously.

"You should take some rest, I will leaved at your room"

Karan nodded and followed Rey outside the room.He waited paitiently as rey locked the room and put his key around his neck back.Then he led Karan to his room.

"Sorry I didn't have much time to clean the room"he said as he took some papers lying on the floor.

"Hey No problem" Karan replied back as he took out some of his clothes from his bag.

"I will leave now..goodnight"

"goodnight"

Rey left the room and made his way towards his room. There Kriya was sleeping peacefully.He stripped his shirt and shorts off and pulled on a pair off pyjamas and shirt. He watched kriya breathing softly and smiled.Karan was right.He saved Kriya's life getting intimate with her.But then only he realized that how precious Kriya's life was to him.If something had happened to her her when she fainted,he wasn't sure if he would have the ability to carry on in his life. He sighed assuringly and put the blanket over them and For the first time put his hand around her waist as he slept.
