I totally agree- this fast pacing dilutes the story as well as the characters. They need to have some TEHRAAV to let the feelings seep in- but they are in a sea-saw mode. Everything seems to be 2 -2 min! 2min anger- 2 min hurt- suddenly 2 min flutey romantic music.
I especially cant get over how they've diluted the hate marriage track in just 3 days and all is more than NORMAL!! People are shiny happy in that household as if some late night tamasha happened. I really couldnt imagine that a hate marriage could deccimate into crajjy comedy in what- 2 min?! Even the finding out that Sumer is the culprit- I mean that was like his life- his vardi- his maan- one punch- push it under the carpet- 2 min- NORMAL!!

This all just takes away from the intensity totally. I wish they had retained the pathos for last week after the marriage- wednesday was just brilliant- and they could have maintained some angst for the last week at least. I dont want to see the female lead crying- but the situation called for some gravitas! Its all TRP ka khel- kya karen? Ok- Ive gotto stop nitpicking now!

I think its a bit of both. As viewer, it's a nice change to not see all the tracks get over stretched but at the same time, the fast pace does dilute things to an extent like CO mentioned. I miss the tehraav in certain scenes and tracks that specifically call for it...wishing that it cud hv lasted that wee bit longer...but before you know it, we move into something new... and that sort of takes away the intensity and impact... you know... For instance, how can you expect the audience to empathize and connect with the central characters properly say the female lead here when she is not given even a moment to process or reflect what cud hv just been a life changing event for her? That said, I'm still watching this show, and have enjoyed it thus far. 😃

May be it's an ongoing struggle and it's not been easy for them to get that balance right...hmmm

Btw, what is the literal translation for tehraav in English, anyone?

I think it definitely depends on what kind of track it is...for example Tejawats revelation to Paro took some time...they had the marriage track running with Rudra and Paro trying to win over the other...so it was quite logical and didn't seem dragged.
The hate marriage and the nature of it being known to everyone makes for interesting viewing atleast in my opinion as it will not have the lead pair fake romancing for the family atleast..it is within character for Rudra as well,,,to not care what anyone thinks!

The social worker track is a logical extension of the suspension from BSD track...it's a way for them to show that just marriage is not enough to absolve Rudra of such serious allegations and by the looks of it is a light track with romance thrown in...so after the intensity of the last few episodes it is a welcome break...however I hope it doesn't stretch to breaking point as there is only so much fooling that either party can do!

If the story proceeds in such a way that it seems a proper conclusion to each track has been provided and there are no loose ends then this pace is fine. They still have the main Mala track and the Tejawat track has been temporarily put on hold as he is supposed to be on the run. So those are the long running mysteries...along with that if they develop Rudra Paros relationship it will be good!

Savvy ... My take on this is that they found that the tr audiences wanted fast closing tracks...the audiences did not seem to like the multiple track method of storytelling... If you notice we are n single track episodes now...

RR is truly unique in terms of closing loops.😃 Lets make a checklist of what has happened since the beginning of the show (in a span of about 3 months)

Paro coming know of what happened at the border and the truth about Thakur - check
MU cleared from Paro's side - check
Rudra knowing about Paro's non-involvement in the arms deal - check
Dilsher went into coma, recovered and delivered parting words😉 - check
Everyone in Ranawat household aware of the supposed hate marriage - check
Sumer caught for releasing the photos - check

Only mystery as per the original premise is Rudra's mom. While on one hand we are not waiting for some of these tracks to be closed for eternity, does it not dilute the intensity of what we are watching/rooting for? The hate marriage had all the drama and tension last week, this week it is Rudra in sulking mode at Paro for not having heeded to his words (from the beginning) and being the cause for what happened at the BSD office.

It is almost like a new track every 7-10 days!!! Setting aside what you like/do not like with the main protagonists my question is - does it reduce the suspense and watching emotions unravel for a longer time onscreen, is the fast closure of tracks a blessing or bane?

Savs🤗
I guess the answer is, both. For a person like me who invariably ends up reading the ending right around page 23 of a 500+ pages book😉, it is a blessing. 😆Jokes apart, it is true that Dilsher and Thakur-Thakurainsa tracks were dispatched with some unseemly haste. But that perhaps had more to do with the availability of the actors than anything related to the story. So I will cut them some slack there. These characters will come back at some future point.
The issue of Rudra-Paro equation is more complicated. I agree things appear hurried and uneven there...story development leaves a lot to be desired. Paro was absolved of the arson charge by others, but Rudr is still to address it in any detail. Plus nobody is trying to find out who did it, if not Paro.
The fact that they are closing tracks every week is not necessarily the problem...it is the cursory manner of doing so. If they spent some time and scenes in addressing the closure, then perhaps it would be more satisfying and believable. Laila angle is still pending...so is MamiSa. They did bring her in after the press conference, but she not been heard from since.
Having said all this, I still do find the characters of Paro and Rudr intriguing, and am as invested in them as I was at the beginning of the show. They are different from the usual saas-bahu characters around, are not uni-dimensional, and are enacted by two very able actors. Me happy😃
