TheTellyTimes spoke to the beautiful actress Preetika Rao, currently playing the role of Aaliya on Colors popular show Beintehaa. The show is receiving lot of good reviews and so is the star cast. We asked the talented actress how she end up playing Aaliya, about her similarity with her sister, Bollywood actressAmrita Rao and much more. Read on to know what the actress has to say.
How did you end up doing the role of Aaliya?
Aaliya happened very quick. I used to watch lots of Pakistani serials and really liked them a lot. At the same time I got a call for narration of Beintehaa, we liked it and so here I am with the team.
How has the experience been working with the cast and crew on the show?
Definitely one of the best cast we have. The team is amazing. With Suchitrareturning to TV after a long time is also a high point and Naved sir is also really very great to work with. Harshad is fun too.
The show has a Muslim background, did you face any difficulties speaking Urdu?
As I said earlier I used to watch Pakistani series so I am bit aware of Urdu. But in case if we face any difficulty in understanding or saying a word, We have a great team to support. And I love to learn new languages.
The show has now been on air for almost 3 months and been positively received by the audience, how does it feel?
It feels great that our hard work is being appreciated. We have been working non stop for 36 hours also, some days end up staying back on sets. But if everyone is liking our work then it's being paid off.
What advice would you want to give to the new generation of actors?
Advice would be I think be yourself and listen to your director and believe in what you are doing.
You and your sister Amrita Rao, looks quite similar, have people ever mistaken you for Amrita?
As of now that's not been an issue. People say we look similar.
