Rashmi was my junior in school and won a LOT of singing competitions. I am so proud of her doing so well and hopefully bringing laurels to our school. Another trivia about her is that she was the runner up at the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Middle East Muqabala which was going on during the end of SRGMP Challenge..she lost to sum1 who was MUCH older and Aadesh Srivastav and Ismail Darbar told her that she lost closely and just because the other lady sounded more mature. However after hearing her now, I think she has good potential.
Vanita is a family friend and have almost grown up with her !! She used to sing at family prayers and gatherings.. I've never heard her sing bollywood songs till recently when she was a semi finalist in Middle East Muqabala too.. interestingly, both Rashmi and Vanita lost to Mridula, the lady who ended up winning !! Both of them are very well trained in Carnatic Classical music.
I so hope they make it to the final 10 !! Will def. vote for them 😃
