So all this years Shlok has been bitter not because of Swati, but his mothers betrayal...Isn't that a worst betrayal then that of a lover. Think what Shlok feels for Swati is guilt at what his family has done to her. When he spoke to Anjali today I saw his anger at his mother who should protect him and do anything for his happiness. Instead she betrayed him. If he really loved Swati he would have gone looking for after he heard NA and Anjalis conversation. Now I know why he married Aastha, Anjali never liked her.
He has lost trust on women because of his mother...but Aastha is a breath of freash air to him unlike Anjali, she does what she wants and has no inhabitants. The young boy Shlok loved Swati.
