Chapter 31:

Sunrays peeked from the horizon, soon they traveled into Taani's room. Taani groaned and flipped on the bed, loving the comfortable bed. But, her heaven was near to an end. Her alarm buzzed, making her groan in frustration. She covered her ears as the intense ring of alarm was still buzzing in the entire room. Finally, Taani sat up and slapped the alarm, shutting it off. She rubbed her eyes and blinked her eyes. The door of the bathroom clicked open and Maya came out in a robe, drying her long hairs. Maya turned to sleepy Taani and smirked.

" So, done with dreaming of your sooo lovely, Boss?" Maya asked, teasingly.

Taani jumped as she heard the sudden voice. She took some time to process the question. Her cheeks on their own accord tinted with a faint pink color. Maya shook her head and laughed. Taani sighted and covered her cheeks with her palms in embarrassment, making Maya to laugh more. Taani closed her eyes and buried her face in blanket.

After when, Maya and Steve barged in room, they caught Rey and her. Rey explained them everything. Taani got more surprised, when Maya was sending knowing looks towards her and Rey. He was sending glares back. Taani didn't questioned anything as there were something which was more important. Steve was first shocked, then he quickly masked it. He congratulated them and left. Maya teased them a lot. All the three of them were chatting till 2 am in the night. Finally, as sleep came on everyone's eye, Maya excused herself and flopped on the bed.

Taani opened her eyes and lifted her head. She walked and stopped in front of the mirror. Her face was burning red. She sighted as she remembered last night. After when, Maya excused herself, Rey also informed that he was leaving to his room. As, Taani led him to door, he quickly pulled her towards him and pressed his lips to her cheek. Taani's heart busted, pumping the blood too much fast through her veins.

Taani shook her head, a smile tugged on her lips. She took the towel and started to get ready.

Taani arranged the files and placed it on her right side. She sighted as she clicked on the other page, she blew a breath, 1245 unread emails, those people has to be kidding. Can't they just call? Taani sighted, her eyes flickered to door. He had messaged in her morning that he needs to go with Steve some matter. Taani glanced at clock, it was almost 12:30pm. Taani bite her lips and drummed her fingers on desk. She sighted and stood up and walked towards Rey's desk which was few steps away from hers. She picked up a file and started flicking it, page by page.

Taani jumped as she felt something around her waist. She looked down, a pair of strong arms were wrapping themselves around her. Taani could feel the familiar warmness around her. She moved her face to a side, slightly.

Rey grinned and put his chin on her shoulder. "Missed you.." He whispered. Taani smiled slightly, but she quickly masked it. Rey smirked as she rolled her eyes. He cocked his head to side and narrowed his eyes on her.

Taani jumped as Rey started tickling her. "Reeyy.. Stop..Pleassee..." She pleaded breathlessly. But, Rey wasn't listening. He loved the way, her laughter was all over, making him smile wide. After her innocent pleading, Rey stopped and turned her, facing him. He looked down at her. This feels heaven. He can't even imagine a day without being with her, can't able to make her blush. His every morning can be this perfect, if she every morning smiles at him like this. He tightened his arms around her and kissed her cheek, too sweetly. Already, smirking at her expected reaction.

Taani bite her lips as he pressed his lips to her cheeks. She could feel the little tingling sensation on her cheek. She could feel, her cheeks were flaming up. It was literally ridiculous, blushing every minute, every second. She bite her lips to stop her cheeks getting the color pink.

Rey groaned as she bite her lips. A pure sweet torture. She looked up and her eyes met with his. He staring at her intensely, his eyes roamed all over her face, taking in every detail again and again. Suddenly, his eyes stopped on her lips. Her breath hitched, her heart almost missed a beat. She quickly lowered her gaze and nervously, ran a tongue over her dry lips. Rey mentally groaned. Taani slightly backed away but, it was too late. Rey had already tightened his arms around her. And her body betrayed and submitted to the most comfortable, warm place that is, in his arms.

Rey took a tendril of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. His finger brushed her earlobe, like a feather, making her shiver. He brushed her cheek, gently. Her lips trembled. Rey cupped her chin and slowly, made her to look up at him. Her heart was thudding. Suddenly, she can only see him. Nothing was in focus. Rey brushed his thumb on her soft lips, slowly. She shivered in his arms. He removed the thumb and leaned down.

Her eyes closed on her own accord. He brushed his lips on hers slightly, making her to breath heavily. Just by the mere brush, she got the memory of those warm lips on hers. Rey leaned down again and brushed his lips on her. He was sweetly torturing her. But, a firm knock boomed in the silent room. Taani opened her eyes quickly and jumped out of his arms. Rey sighted and shook his head. He ran a hand through his hair, frustratingly. He looked up at Taani, who was breathing heavily. She gulped and smoothed her ironed blouse and quickly walked to her desk. Rey turned and walked towards his sit and sat.

"Come in.."

The door cricked open and Maya popped her head in. "Did I interrupted something?" She asked, teasingly. Rey shook his head and motioned her to come in. Taani's eyes widen, she buried her head and typed too much frantically, pressing the buttons like she is hammering them. Maya smirked at Rey and looked at Taani.

"I missed it, I guess.. Next time, I will come in without knocking." She smirked at Rey who was glaring at her.

"What makes you to come here?" He asked, calmly. Maya nodded. "Well, Steve wanted to actually talk with both of you, we need to discuss some important things." Maya said, firmly.

"Is there anything wrong Maya?" Taani asked, suddenly getting up from her seat. Maya and Rey turned to her. Taani was looking little worried. Rey stared at her as she gripped the desk for support.

Maya shook her head and smiled at Taani reassuringly. Taani gulped, "Are you sure? I mean, there is nothing wrong, right?" She whispered. Maya looked at Rey and nodded. She gave a last reassuring look to Taani and left the cabin, closing the door behind her.

Rey stood up and walked to the door and locked it from inside. Taani was gripping the desk for support. She got the flash of last meeting of her, Rey and Steve.She didn't want to suffer from it again. She jumped as she sensed someone's hand on her shoulder. She lifted her head slowly, to meet with Rey's worried face. That was enough to make her to go into panic mode.

Rey sighted as he looked at Taani who was overthinking. He put his hand on her shoulders and made her turn. Suddenly, Taani lifted her head, with her wide eyes.

"Rey, why did Steve called us?" She shook her head frantically and blinked her eyes.

"What if.. what iff..." She couldn't form a single sentence as every possibility and their consequence was occurring in her mind, scaring her to this extent where she can't even think properly. Rey kept nodding at her panic. When she couldn't make a sentence, it was his chance to calm her.

"Taani.." He said her name calmly. Her head snapped to him, she looked directly into his eyes and gripped his arms for support.

"Rey, I can't go again through that.. I don't want to..Please..." Her big brown eyes blurred with water. Her tears, that was the last thing, right now he wanted to deal with.

He quickly wrapped his arms around her and hugged her. Taani put her head on his chest, her shaking hands were clutching his coat. Rey put his chin on her head and murmured some comforting words to her.

After some time, she closed her eyes and hugged him tighter. Rey rubbed her back as she was still shivering in his arms. He kissed her hair.

"It's fine, Taani. Everything is alright. Trust me." Rey said to her with a soft voice. He put a hand on her back and rubbed her arm. Taani sighted as she heard the reassuring words from him.

"Do you trust me Taani?" He asked, very slowly as if he was thinking and choosing the words properly. He had to choose it. Any wrong word and she was again panicking which he didn't want.

He waited for her response after some time, he felt like she hugged him tighter and nodded her head slightly under his chin. He smiled and cupped her shoulders and made her to look upwards at him. Taani looked up at him and gulped. He leaned and pecked her forehead. She closed her eyes and clutched his coat once again.

"Then, trust me. Everything is alright. Okay?" He asked. She bite her lips and nodded. He nodded slowly back at her.

"Steve called us because we are going to have a little talk of business. You know, my secretary..." He smirked and grinned down at her.

Taani couldn't help but smile. The tears escaped from her eyelids. Rey quickly wiped it and cupped her cheek.

"Why don't you go and bring some coffee? You know, my secretary is damn lazy. Actually.." He looked up as if he was thinking then looked down at her with a grin. " She is damn hot and I don't mind if she doesn't step out of the room." He smirked.

Taani couldn't help but chuckle and slapped his chest. This was one of the best quality of Rey, he can make her happy any time he wish.

"I am getting us coffee.." She whispered as a small smiled tugged on her lips. Rey smiled back and leaned. "Well, don't add sugar in coffee as I don't need any sweet in the world, because, I have my own sweet here." He said teasingly as he eyed every inch of her. " And damn, this sweet is delicious.." He whispered. Her eyes widen in shock as she got the meaning. She pushed him back. Her face, ear was burning red. Rey laughed lightly.

"Rey stop it.." Taani scolded him, making him laugh harder. She huffed and turned to leave. When she was about to close the door, she heard Rey saying.

"Come back soon sweetheart, I like coffee having sweet."

She blushed and quickly closed the door and hurried to take coffee.

Swayam sighted as he sipped from his ice-tea. He was on his laptop and checking RS official website. The upcoming events, there was corner where site visitor can get information about their projects and seminars. Swayam grinned as he got an article about some, companies beating each other. He got to know that Rey is currently in Banglore.

He could have asked straight to Steve, but since something was off. He was sure, either Steve wouldn't have attended his call or lied to him.

He turned to Sharon and grinned at her who just rolled her eyes and concentrated on her ice-cream. Swayam shook his head as he stared at her Sharon was eating an ice-cream in the morning.

"You are really weird." He stated. Sharon scoffed. "After all, I am your girlfriend. It was anyway expected." And stuck her tongue out like a child. Swayam chuckled at her and smiled to himself.

Taani turned and bumped into wall. One cup in her hand fall down and the coffee splashed on the floor. She looked up to see, Rahul looking at her only. She quickly backed away, making space between them. Rahul smirked. "So..? How are preparations are going?" He asked. Taani's lips were set into a straight line. There was no way, she was going to waste her time for him.

"You will come to know, SOON." She said, glared at him. Rahul looked down at her, amused. He chuckled and cocked his head to side and looked at the mere woman who was glaring at him.

"You know what.." He smirked, as she narrowed her eyes on him. "Get ready for the losing. Because, I am going to get this damn opportunity under your and your boss's' nose." He said, firmly.

"And.." He raised his voice little gaining attention from the passing by. Taani gulped, Rahul enjoyed her nervousness. "You need to be ready you know. You have to console him, in bed..." He trailed. Taani's eyes widen as the people who were in earshot region to them were casting a disgusted look to her. Some were even whispering while looking at her with their accusing eyes. Rahul smirked and passed by Taani, towards his way.

Taani looked around, she clutched the cup in her hand. Her head hung low and she walked back towards her way.

Rey sighted as he confirmed from Steve, what he wanted to talk. It was just some silly things that has to be taken care of. Nothing that should scare them. He could see, Taani was so much stunned from that scandal. She was mainly scared. He didn't wanted her to be under any pressure. Suddenly, a knock interrupted his train of thoughts.

"Come in.."

Maya barged in and huffed. He raised an eyebrow as she was looking troubled. Maya just shrugged and placed the laptop in front of him which she was carrying it throughout the way.

Rey glanced at Maya who urged him to read it. He sighted. His eyes fell on laptop and then, it only stick on it. Maya waited patiently.

Finally, he completed reading it and leaned back. "Do you think, we should tell her?" Maya asked, excitedly. Rey just nodded.

"This is the best chance.."He thought to himself.

Taani took a deep breath and exhaled it. She looked down at the cup in her and knocked on the door. Instead of approval, the door was opened by Maya. Taani smiled at Maya weakly and entered. She didn't looked at Rey. She just placed the cup on his table and walked to hers. She was hurt and shaken by Rahul words. It wasn't actually because of him. It was because the way, people were staring at her and whispering about her in front of her face. That was beyond, humiliating.

She briefly closed her eyes and opened it. She pressed the power button of her laptop and glanced up. Maya was standing there, well, impatiently. Taani gave her a questioning look.

Maya just grinned. She saw, Rey came from behind her with the mug in his hand and smiled down at her. Taani looked at them curiously.

"What?" She whispered weakly.

"Guess...what??" Maya shouted. Rey shook his head and sipped from his coffee. " You are going to give the grand presentation.." Maya chirped, all excited.

Taani's eyes popped out of her socket. She looked at Rey to confirm, he just nodded and grinned at her.

"Are you guys serious?" She whispered. Both nodded their head.

She was breathless, she slumped back in her seat, helplessly. Talking in front of so many people was scaring her. She was scared. Because, she didn't wanted to talk to so many peoples. Don't know how, but all her confidence doomed down after that scandal. She looked at Maya blankly who was saying that she is so much happy for her.

Rey knocked on Taani's room. Maya was outside, as usual. He wanted to have a little talk with Taani. Something was off. He observed, how her happy face transformed into blank one, when they informed about the presentation. Of course, she must be nervous. That's why, he is here to talk.

He looked up as the door opened. There she was standing. He smiled and entered as she smiled back at him.

He closed the door behind him softly. Taani walked to sofa and sat on it, watching some business headlines. He smiled and sat besides her, putting his arm around her shoulder casually. She looked up and smiled at him.

They both sat there watching some programs, shows, cartoons. Rey frowned as he looked at Taani who was just staring at the TV- Screen blankly.

"Taani.." He whispered.

She blinked as if she was in a very deep thought. She looked up at him, confused. "Huh?"

Rey stared at her then grabbed the remote and switched it off. He turned to her and kneeled in front of her on his both knees, taking her hands in his.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

Taani shook her head in no and shrugged. "Nothing." She whispered. She averted her eyes from him and looked around.

She is lying..

She never meet his eyes when she is lying. Well, he knew it very well. He grabbed her palms in his and kissed them.

"Taani, you trust me. And, I love you..." He said gently, Taani gulped and looked down at their intertwined fingers.

She looked up and bite her lips. She looked at him, a weak expression on her face.

"I am scared." She whispered as she looked down, ashamed. Rey rubbed her arms. She leaned and wrapped her arms around his neck, buring her face in his neck.

"I don't know Rey, I am really scared." She murmured into his neck and started sobbing. She clutched her eyes close and let tears fall.

"Shhh..." Rey soothed her, rubbing her back. As, Taani was sobbing softly.

After crying like a baby. Taani finally pulled herself back and looked down. Rey cupped her chin and leaned and pressed his lips to hers. Making her forget all her worries, weakness.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and his palm cupped the back of her neck. He kissed her softly. There lips were moving in a sync, slowly, gently against each other. Taani sighted breathlessly as Rey pulled back. He kissed near her lips and touched his forehead to hers. He wrapped his arms around her waist. She was still sitting on sofa, a small smile on her lips.

"We will talk about this tomorrow. Right, now head to bed." He whispered. Taani nodded back. Rey quickly jumped on his feet and without any warning, he swept off from her feet. He lifted her in bridal style.

Taani quickly wrapped her arms around his neck in fear. Rey smirked seeing her scared expression and walked towards her bedroom.

Rey sighted as he looked down at Taani who was sleeping peacefully. It took him some half and hour to make her to fall sleep. He caressed her cheek with his fingers. Suddenly, he felt vibration in his jean pocket. He removed his cell phone and his eyes popped out in shock.

Swayam's name was flashing on his screen.

He took some moment and answered the call. Before even he could say hello. He heard Sharon screaming into the phone.

"We are in Mumbai.."

Rey freezed, his cell slipped from his grip.

"Shit!"

He looked down at Taani and then looked at the phone. He have so many things to explain and tell them, specially. He looked back down at,Taani..[READ THE PRECAP AND NOTE, VERY IMPORTANT.]

Taani eyes widen in shock. She removed her cell from her and looked down at it, with her wide eyes.

"Who is Maya, Rey?"

"What?" Rey asked all confused, lifting his eyes from laptop setting on Taani.

"You never introduced properly.." Taani said, thoughtfully.

Rey opened the door laughingly. His laughter died as he looked up, little shocked. Taani's eyebrows knotted together as suddenly, his laughter died. She stood up and walked where he had gone.

"Rey!" She called.

He turned. She frowned as she looked behind him. Two more people were standing there. An old woman in an expensive saree and an old man but yet, tall and gentleman. They both were staring back at her.[Scroll down little]

VERY IMPORTANT.

Hola! I am sorry for late UPDATE. But, Sweeties... I will be more inactive. I will be only coming to update as I am busy. When I say, busy means hell busy. As many people may know. But, let me tell those who don't have any idea about it. My 12th has been started and I have taken science. So, my schedual is all, studies. Since, it's my 12th it's very important for me to concentrate. My classes timings are very frustrating, from 7am to 3:30pm. Ya, Pretty hectic. I am somehow managing to give update. One update for one week i.e. I will be updating once in a week. That depends also, But, I will make sure, at least one update, I am giving of any of the story. This will last till my college starts, my classes will little decrease the study hours. Anyway, wish me luck. :)
