Arnav and Khusi are insanely attracted to each other since she comes down to AR for an interview. This only builds up with time but both dont act on it.

Arya, Arnav's daughter from his marriage to Lavanya (who is now dead) meets Khushi in AR and both bond well.

For Arya's sake, Anjali invites Khushi to live with them during Arya's holidays.

During this time, ArHi slowly and steadily express and act on their attraction.

Khushi tho a traditional girl wants it all from Arnav and Arnav only. Arnav wants it from Khushi too but dont want to do anything that might mess up Khushi's equation with his dear daughter and his family who all love Khushi a lot.

Btw, neither of ArHi are talkign of marriage or love with each other. It is just insane, combustible attraction for them on which they want to act ASAP. Bas!

However, Arnav keeps his instincts under check at all times. Khushi becomes of importance to him

Meanwhile, Anjali keeps putting off marriage plans with Shyam as she wants to see Arnav settled down first and she has her hopes pinned on Khushi. Anjali has kinda forced Arnav to marry Lavanya in the past under certain circumstances and now she wants to fix that mistake thru Khushi. Shyam is La's brother and so by default Arnav hates Shyam (Arnav didnt love La and she was a meano. Arya was a product of circumstances too). However, Shyam saves Khushi's life once and whenever they meet, Khushi shares a good rapport with Shyam which Arnav doesnt like and once this had led to a huge fight between them to the extent that Arnav had decided to spend the night with some XYZ woman to hurt Khushi. He, however, returns and ArHi make up and make out in their own way 😉

Meanwhile, Aakash returns from UK and Payal reaches Delhi from Lucknow (Khushi's family lives in Lnow while she lives alone in Delhi) and upon the Raizada women's insistence who do not want Khushi to move back to her apartment with her sister force Payal to live in Shantivan too.

Aakash keeps falling for Payal and Payal doesnt give him any ghass, in fact sunaaoes him a lot. Their love hate relationship faces a major setback when Payal comes to know that Arnav and Khushi are kinda physical with each other and Aakash tells her to let them be as htey are adults and in love tho they might not realise.

Khushi's family wants her to get married as they have a rishta for her and Payal is pursuing her PHD along with her professor giri. Also, Aman is interested in Khushi. All this doesnt go well with Arnav but gadhey ko akkal nahi aati.

Meanwhile, Khushi's father isnt keeping well and Khushi with Anjali goes to Lucknow to be with him. When she is going thru a roughpatch coz of her babuji's ill health she calls up Arnav and he leaves everything in Delhi to be with her. Someone sees them in the hospital canteen having tea coffee and tells Garima that her daughter is trying ti phasao rich men. Garima is deeply offended and questions Khushi and she says there is nothing wrong between Arnav and her and to trust her. Coz in her head what she shares with Arnav is special, it is not wrong. She knows Arnav undsts and would never hurt her.

Anjali and Khushi return to Delhi.

When Arya asks Arnav for Khushi as her mother on her birthday, Arnav proposes to Khushi for Arya which hurts Khushi deeply. But for her love for Arya she agrees.

Garima and Bua visit Delhi to admit Shashi in a hospital there and decide to thank the Raizadas for being so hospitable to their daughters and to also take the daughter from Shantivan to now live in Bua's house in Delhi.

However, a completely innocent exchange between ArHi makes Garima realise that Khushi is physically comfortable with Arnav. She in a fit of anger slaps Khushi before everyone and drags her away from Shantivan.

At home, Khushi tells Bua and Garima that she hasnt slept with Arnav but she is in him too deep to refuse him anything ever. Her reason, she loves him. She doesnt tel them that he has asked her to marry coz she has already told them that he has never declared his love.

Meanwhile Nani and Mami who are still in shock decide to finally ask Khushi''s hand for Aakash which they have wanted ever since Aakash returned and they saw how well Aakash and Khushi bond.

So, Payal and Aakash decide to elope and marry so that they can be together, the Guptas and the Raizadas will be forced to interact sooner than later, and ArHi wld be free for each other. These are a few of the reasons. I had mentioned many.

This marriage comes as a shock to many. When Bua tries to hit Payal for this insolence Akash stops with Arnav ka IPK dialogue ke he hasnt allowed anyone to touch his wife.

Since things are spiralling our of control, Arnav decides to get Babuji (on a wheelchair from the hospital but he isnt paralysed or anything just unwell) on his side to bless his and Khushi's marriage since Garima wld never allow as she has branded him as a character dheela guy.

The Guptas and Raizadas talk abot ArHi's wedding and Garima says she will trust her husband abt it. Khushi tells her mother in pvt that she loves arya as her own just like Garima loves Khushi as her own tho she isnt her biological daughter. Shashi tells Arnav in pvt that he will have to send Arya away somewhere to marry Khushi. That is the deal. Arnav politely refuses saying he cant choose anyone abt his daughter irrespective of the fact that Khushi is perfect in everyway both in internal and external beauty. Shashi said he was testing Arnav and gives his blessings foer the marriage.

However, Khushi tells Arnav she wants a word with him in pvt before she agrees for the marriage. Arnav is surprised. An argument/fight ensues which ends with 'i love u dammit' THEN Khushi agrees to marry him.

Khushi now lives with her family until her marriage and comes to know that Shyam and Anjali are dating but decides to keep it a secret for them. PAr Arnav ko Aman se pataa chal jaata hain coz Anjali has been secrelt helping Arnav in legal issues since she knew Shyam. Shyam has a lot of contacts in the right places and tho he feels nothing for Arnav, would help him for the sake of Anjali.

Aman one fine days figures out the helper of Anjali and tells Arnav...

Arnav blows his fuse but Khushi reachesh is home on time and tells him to at least give Shyam a chance. In the past, Shyam had wanted to keep in touch with Arya as his only family member but Arnav hadnt allowed. so Shyam had told him he will take Arya from Arnav by hook or crook but Anjali had stopped him. That is how Shyam and Anjali's story had started. So, Arnav still holds that against Shyam.

But for Khushi's sake Arnav decides to meet Shyam wherein Shyam tells him that he loves Arya too and he had wanted to keep in touch with his neice but since Anjali asked him not to he dropped the idea, so what mistake had he ever done apart from being La's sibling. Shyam has a upper hand in this convo as for every question Arnav throws his way, shyam has a ready ans.

Arnav reluctantly agrees for Shyam Anjali marriage, as Anjali wont marry Shyam without Arnav's blessings.

So, on ArHis and PayAsh's reception, they get engaged.

Over the years, Arnav lets his guard down and welcomes Shyam wholeheartedly. They live like one happy family.

This may not look like it but Arya was the initiator of every track and twist in the story. Everyone was a puppet at the end of the day and she was the master of it all, unknowingly.

However, the 6 yr old Arya was ruled by hatred for Aditya. He is the one who always insulted her abt her mother's sullied character (La had run away with NK while she was pregnant with Arya, the car had met with an accident, La had died and Arya survived) and the fact that all kids have mothers and she doesnt.

The thing is he had always been jealous of Arya for her perect family when in his house his parents fought daily

The story ends with several years later Arya meeting with Aditya again in the Arnav Khushi IPK rain hug sequence when he saves her from a passing car while she is dancing in the rain on a deserted night.

PS: Again, it might not look like it but it was a 'mature' story. And the scene these guys are referring to is when Khushi goes to her apartment two days before Diwali to clean it and Khushi is so tired after a day of cleaning and then showering at ngiht (while he is being naughty with her on speaker phone [I never explicitly mentioned how naughty]) that she goes to sleep without putting anything on, covering herself with her quilt. nothing much guttery abt it
