I find it absolutely frustrating, that they won't reveal what he's thinking or how he REALLY feels about Aaliya. Sure, there have been lotsa moments where he's done nice things for her, and we know why he does them, even if he doesn't. But I just want him to get a clue, maybe have some thoughtful introspection?
For Aaliya, I feel, they've taken a lot of opportunities to organically reveal her affection and attraction for Zain, but I hate that they almost never take the opportunities (like today's episode, which practically was left wide open for the taking) for Zain to reflect on their relationship (other than the "Bin Tere" sequence). In fact, I felt the nikaah would have been much much better if it was Zain who was thinking on how much his feelings have changed from the first nikaah till today, instead of Aaliya; mostly coz Aaliya was the character who was the catalyst for the first wedding, the one who set the ball rolling. Even after the nikaah, she was the one who vowed to "nibhaaofy" it, while he was trying to get rid of her. I wanted Zain to be the one who was taking the first step this time, sort of balancing the scales, doing his part in the relationship, accepting her as his wife, even if they weren't in all-consuming love. Accepting her as the girl he wanted to spend his life with.
I know, I know, I'm jumping the gun, and want to rush things, but I just want to know what's going on in Zain Abdullah's head in respect to his Maamu ki Bhaanji. š¤ Flesh his character out a little more, make him a little more than the good looks, charm and humour? (I know, I know, asking for tooo much, but hey, he's fictional! He's supposed to be PERFECT. š)
Thoughts? Am I just too damn impatient and greedy, or are others wondering this too?
