I was surprised that they considered Paro married to Rudra at the end cuz none of the rituals were actually fulfilled. In fact they were violated. The only part that was actually done was filling Paro's parting with vermillion. So I was wondering if that is the primary criteria in a Hindu marriage... Cuz even in Khushi's case Arnav never completed the rituals wen he first married her but she was considered his wife although later she stated that their marriage was incomplete. In Saif and Vidya Balan's movie - forgot the name - they were considered married in a very symbolic gesture too but I remember they said it was a special night. So do we say PaRud are married but the rituals are incomplete or they are not married at all?!

As per Hindu Marriage Act for the wedding to be legal they need to have witnesses atleast 2 and for NI weddings the 7 pheras should have been completed and for SI weddings the saptha padi that is the seven steps. These are the most important for the wedding to be considered legal.
I think the 7 pheres were completed so the wedding is a done deal with witness. The bride was willing too which is another important factor.

According to the latest court laws in india.. The intent to marry has to be there.. U can do any process call it religious social have witness attending calling it a marriage.. Then get it registered at an office it is a marriage..
U can have a tea party with ur friends.. Declare with ur husband..this is my marriage ceremony please bless us.. Go to the registry office and register it..
Since the social worker will be coming according to spoiler it has to be registered.. Even if rudra acknowlges paro as his wife in BSD records.. Since it is government records it will be legal and acceptable affair..
