Thank you so much for understanding and your positive post. People are taking a negetive turn which i never meant and This is what exactly i wud love to see in JA where Jodha is love, Ruqs is best friend and Jodha Ruqaiya together dealing with evil mahamanga. And yes as far as i too have read in libraries too about Mughal era Ruqaiya was never negetive and that is the point i wanted to make.

@ TM :
Dearie, the article has wrong info, but its upto you now! If you want to believe go ahead who am I to stop you?
Ruqaiya was not the Padshah Begum, even like you I had my own doubts regarding this but till 1545 Khanzada Begum was the Padshah Begum and in 1622-23 Jahangir bestowed the title upon Noor Jahan. No two ladies could hold this title at the same time!!! Abhay has confirmed this and even I've read this. Ruqaiya died in 1526! now if she was the Padshah Begum then how could Jahangir gave it to NJ ??
Secondly, Ruqaiya was not the only daughter of Hindal Mirza, she had a sister who was married to Shah Quli Mahram, a distant relative of Bairam Khan and the one who captured Hemu's elephant Hawai during Panipat.
From this you can cross-check the authenticity of the info in this article.

Kindly use
..::Doubts & Discussions about Historical facts::.. for any further discussions and be aware that the characters depicted in the show are not necessarily like whats been written and said about them. This is a fictional show and the charcters/roles are tweaked as per drama requirements. Please avoid unnecessary comparisons and arguements over such issues.

My point of making this post is just to show Ruqaiya was positive and nothing about the titles and other things which can vary from place to place.

And abt this according to what i have read at most places Ruqaiya was the only daughter of her father and its specifically mentioned.

edit*
ok so no more history discussions

As i like Ruqaiya too and in the forum there is so much negetivity for her i just thought of sharing this because its almost true if not all and again its not about Jodha. Even please understand its just a Glimpse of Ruqaiya's life.

I guess then YOU have NOT READ YOUR POST!!!

No matter how many marriages Akbar had all his life and no matter how manyconcubines he had in his harem, Ruqaiya was always his most favored wife and remained his principal consort till the very end. Ruqaiya was not only Akbar's wife but a friend, companion and cohort right from the very early on in his life. Her position and status in the heart of Akbar was always superior and greater than any other woman in his life. No, not even Jodha unlike illustrated in the movies and serials. Akbar only loved Ruqaiya through his life.

Blue lines in bold and line about Jodha are from your thread and they are ABOUT JODHA.

Again - you believe what you want, just do not negate somebody's sincere research because you like somebody else!

In the serial Jodha, Jalal and Rukayya all will go through various phases and Rukayya who is under influence of MA will also change again.

Now do you want to start doubting MA also!

firstly,i have never heard the name ruqaiya before the show started.no where have i read about anyone else other than jodha, the hindu queen.she being the marium uz zamani was the most important one.
secondly,i seriously doubt the authenticity of this blog as it says shah jahan was akbar's son. he was jehangir's son and akbar's GRANDSON. if there is such a huge error here,i doubt whether everything else is true...

TFS! 🤗👏
But as far as I know Akbar never favored Ruqaiyya. If he had, we'd have heard of Ruqaiyya-Akbar, not Jodha-Akbar. And Shah Jahan/Khurram was Akbar's grandson and Jahangir's heir. He wasn't Akbar's son.
I suspect the legitimacy of the site.
She was quite covetous. And she proprietorial of her 'possessions'- Prince Khurram and of course Akbar, as in the show.
