sorry to say but name "barkat" seems so awkward i know its muslim name but we dont use it normally as a person name meaning of barkat is "increase" "greatness" which w eussually prefer for in food or money cv' actually werent knowing where they r heading and they named a girl barkat its such sudden tthat everything seems fake even no background were shown before if they were planning to bring such track they should have given hints for long unlike this😕😕

Disappointed!!

I dont feel any thing like that coz I am also a Muslim girl nd my mother's name is barkat too...and in my place their are many ladies having this name

Many of the storylines of a show are built as the show progresses - it is not initially planned out that a long lost sister/brother will emerge...unless the story originates around the reunion of long lost siblings. So there is nothing fake about the revelation of Barkat, in fact I personally feel it is a perfect way to explain Suraiya's hatred towards Bhopal and Aaliya's family - because it was HER relative that destroyed her life by stealing her only daughter. it all makes sense and does not feel fake...well not to me at least

with regards to the name, Barkat, you will be surprised how many people name their children Barkat. I think it also links to the family's culture i.e. I have never come across a Pakistani family that has named their child Shukran however I know many Arabs who have named their daughter's Shukran. Some names are common between Arabs while some are common between non-arabs... Barkat may be a name which is common between a certain group of people and not common between another group of people.

Actually it all makes sense it shows why there's a restrain between aliya and zains family also at the beginning of the show we all found it weird how aliya's family doesn't recognise Zain and how come shabana has not gone to Mumbai to meet her brother. I also agree with the posts above.

Come on you are watching a hindi serial and I u have a very little info about them. In hindi serials all twists are build up when the story moves . Nothing is ever planned out...in saathiya... Gopis parents popped from just somewhere ... In ek hazroah mein meri behna.. Manvi's dad and bahu's son popped up... So this is normal

And the name issue. Yes this is awkward to have a name like that. Even the name of "ayat"

Ayat is in the Quran. It is never used as a name. So weird
