I absolutely get you...I think one factor that contributes majorly is the change of the director...the touch is missing..and how!! The original one that kicked off the series, is a master in subtlety and finesse...the difference was felt the very day he left...

And lets just clutch onto straws for now...

You know these 2 lines...Tu Piyegi kya...and Itna bhi piya hua nahi hoon ki tujhe gira doon...are the ones that give me hope and say...it's not gonna be long before Major sa forgets half of his vachans...and do the exact opposite of them.
