It is really bugging me yaar

i am here to crack your brains again 😆

in every movie, every serial, every book, every fairytale

there is a girl in need, a girl indeed, helpless, innocent, deserted by life, left alone by others...

and then suddenly a prince charming come along....a rich guy, or a guy whos gonna fight for her, someone who makes her feel save, someone she feels good to have around, someone who understands her, respects her and blows new life into her

but yaar why cant it be the other way around

why doesnt the girl save the boy?? why do we always portray women as instable, helpless, lachaar, majboor, why does society think that it is us that needs to be helped?

it is proven that women are mentally stronger and more stable than man.

so why is it the girl who is helped 😕 why cant the girl be the hero!!

i can be a hero!!!!!!! to answer your question ill simply give you

some examples of Fairytales that each child has heard when they

were young ... cinderella, snow white, sleeping beauty ... w/e,

etc i cant think of anymore tho there are more, and this is wats

been drilled into our minds since were 3!!! these pathetic

stories... all about how theres always some guy that rescues the

"damsel in distress!" like come on seriously, i cant believe even

today these stories are still amongst the most popular... and yea

i agree with everything u said there. to answer the question to

why, i really cant but ill try, we're living in a men dominated

world, have u ever seen a female president or priest or w/eeee??

even tho Queen Elizabeth is ruling, its strictly thru LUCK, since

first priority goes to the sons and they become king... its absurd

the way society works. but there has been a MAJOR change im not

going to lie, we allowed to vote for the next MALE for

president(in the states), power to us! (sarcasm!)

To answer your question in another way(ill keep it simple) , back in the old days when

the human race originated, it was the males tat hunted and they

had the bigger body so they would do the supporting while the

females were disposed for reproductive functions... we did evolve

to the people we are today, and life is more then men=hunters

women= reproducers... clearly there is more now, but thru natural

selection, we cant leave behind the predisposed traits we had way

back when!

exactly every fairytale has a woman in need and a prince who comes to rescue her! and we grow up with these stories.....it is brought to us as we are there only to be rescued by the ooh soo mighty men 😕

i agree with everything u said there. to answer the question to

why, i really cant but ill try, we're living in a men dominated

true...research shows that women still dont have a chance to grow further to the top levels in companies because they are stopped by men. woman who have the potential to leave their male colleagues behind are intimidated and threathened so they step back and do not have the courage to try again

world, have u ever seen a female president or priest or w/eeee??

Yes was Indira Gandhi not in the government?

Is Ekta Kapoor not a female and a tv industry tycoon?

Do we not have women who went to the moon?

Do we not have female doctors, lawyers and accountants?

Yes we have, but for some reason our skills and knowledge make no difference. because we are expected to act innocent, shy and wait till a guy will come to rescue us 😕

even tho Queen Elizabeth is ruling, its strictly thru LUCK, since

first priority goes to the sons and they become king... its absurd

the way society works. but there has been a MAJOR change im not

Exactly....in theory we are equal to men. so how come women never make it in the board of directors of companies. how come our political visions are not taken seriously. why would a man be a better leader?

Continuing in the trend of evolution....Darwin introduced to concept of survival of the fittest!!

We will get there! We will survive!!

In the beginning i said there was no indian show where the woman rescues the man. i lied. there was a show. a very good show with a very deep ethical message. The show was called Kulvaddhu and it came on Sony Tv. The female character was strong, sticked to her values and was ready to face the world all alone to save her beloved friend. she rescued him when needed! she was a good friend, lover and wife! she stood by his side and supported him all the way. for a change it was not the woman who was dependent! the man needed the woman in this case.

but for some reason society is not ready for this step yet. i think we are used to see women at the feet of men. Society and also the women them selves are not ready to take their independence a step further

sha, i agree with all the points you made before about ekta kapoor (honestly that's why i do my best not to bash her ...... she's set a precedent in this industry .... and if anyone is even trying to do something different in this industry it is only because her shows popularized indian television enough for them to want to do something different in this medium) .... just cut them out in the quote to make room for my colour coding😆

wow yaar ..... discussion evolution pe bhi aagyi?😆 .... i love it .... 👏👏👏

but even in kulvaddhu .... (esp at the end) .... it seemed like the only way she could save the male-lead was by sacrificing her self ........ 😕 ...... and other shows are showing stronger female characters .... like lrl's cadet naina singh ahluwalia (although she's a little to stubborn and hot-headed which often gets her into trouble) .......... and honestly if you think about it .... even ekta has strong female characters - tulsi had the guts to shoot her own son and rescue her daughter-in-law without the help of any man ..... but i guess a lot of these strong characters fall prey to trps and end up going through cycles of being the damsel in distress and then back to being "xena-warrior princesses"😉😆

lolzzzz tasha omg people who will read this will think we're crazy😆

we're bachchas ! instead of relaxing and having fun we are breaking our heads with such detailed analysis😕 .......yeah ruby really made me proud by bringing up evolution and you came with your ancient greec analysis

see how smart women can be 🤓

and i agree yaar...even if the woman get a chance in the serial....later on they still land on the feet of their pati or pita. so terribly frustrating....

and i agree about Ekta K. yes her serials have the same concept over and over. Yes she has a bad taste for romance and she keeps ripping apart lovers. But she is the most succesfull producer at the moment. And she's a woman! She is proud and why shoudn't she be. Most people criticize her because they are jealous. I agree her shows are getting boring and add nothing new...but she set the tone! she forced others to work harder and come with creative shows. very well said tasha 😳

I mentioned her because i do admire her. I might not agree with her way of tackling the shows.....i might not agree with her at all....but i have to admit that she is on a position......some can only dream of. she is an example of a woman who doesnt let anyone stop her. she dares to achieve what she dreams of.....and yeah...(.i cannot help i have to add the jealousy again😆)......she is also jealous and others are jealous of her.....and this jealousy keeps everyone motivated!

I never know you watched Kulvaddhu. How come i never saw you there? Hmm you really missed some real fun. i almost want to cry.....it was one of the most sparkling sections on IF. my home

ok back to the topic 😛

you know according to the evolution theory....mankind originated from apes...

women managed to become highly skilled, smart and pretty

how come men are still behaving like apes 😕😕

i know not all men are like that (before my IF bro's start fighting with me😛)...but is it not the fear of men that women will take over the position

seee its jealousy again...the root of all evil 😕😡

agree with that .... but it is interesting to understand what this jealousy is truly based on .... i don't think it is just that women will take over their position .... i think part of it has to do with the fact that we can take over their positions .... women can run houses, corporations, etc .... and we can still have kids .... men can't (at least not yet) ..... evolutionarily speaking it is always the creature that can adapt the best to its surroundings the makes it the farthest and women are able to adapt more ....

hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa, i dont know yo, maybe its the fact that their brain size hasn't increased at all and they are still the same violent, hairy, and obnoxious animals as our closest relatives the apes! hey wat i dont get is, when someone calls u a "janwaar" (animal) in hindhi or punjabi its considered to be rude and a huge diss, but technically we are classified as "animals" so i dont get whats to get offended about , ahaha just a thought! i saw the word janwaar being used in alot of indian serials so it came to mind.

i know not all men are like that (before my IF bro's start fighting with me😛)...but is it not the fear of men that women will take over the position

true, but i think another root to evil could be revenge! muwaha yea not all guys are bad, we're bashing them like crazy here mite get in trouble ahah PLEASE DONT get angry at THIS MIKEY 😳 hahaha jk!! 😉

haha yea no more school, finally done 2nd year sciences NO MORE... no more haha hmm yea the whole adaption thing is "natural selection" aka survival of the fittest, aka evolution aka descent with modification! wow its been drilled into my mind yO! hmm u guys wanna start in psychological terms now?? OK here goes: society creates its norms, and boys and girls are suppose to act a certain way to fit in to that society, girls play with dolls boys play with action figures! its the way it has to be, one must follow their specific gender role to be accepted into society perhaps this is another reason why males/females are portrayed the way they are, they're are actually numerous factors that can be involved, but these are the only ones i can think of...
