My post may not be a popular one - but I believe Rudra got his just desserts today.

Rudra brought the BSD suspension on himself and he well deserves it. If he had kept Paro at arms length and treated her as a dispassionate witness - none of this would have happened.
Why Rudra deserves his punishment
  • Went against BSD protocol and without prior permission attacked the baraath and killed all of them except Paro. Thought he knew better
  • Treated Paro shabbily - even though he had no proof of her involvement in Thakurs arms dealing. He invaded her personal space, dragged her back and forth, tied her like an animal and treated her with disrespect
  • He forced her to stay in his home, locked her up, changed his clothes in front of her, slept in the same room as her, deceived her, held her hands behind her back, held her waist, did not maintain a distance. Rudra is attractive - so its ok for him to do such things to a witness??
  • Thrust an unwelcome marriage on her by manipulation, sexual intimidation and force. Can one really do this to a potential witness - come on???
  • Forced her to go through all the wedding functions like ganpathi puja, jhaki, haldi, henna, sangeet
  • Tried to get a witness agreement by manipulation - would it even have been valid?
  • Went ahead with the marriage plans even though he knew she would not sign the witness agreement
  • When Dilsher was attacked - did not even bother to do a proper investigation - is he a real BSD trained officer?
  • Strongly believes - beautiful women are inherently evil and not to be trusted - an unhinged mind cannot hold a post of Major in the BSD
  • As soon as he was absolved of the attack on the baraath - did not even bother to watch out for Paro anymore - so his concern for Paro while she was potentially unsafe from the Thakur was for selfish reasons.
Love Ashish as Rudra - awesome acting!! 👏
...Except he brought the punishment on himself and has no one to blame. This suspension was long overdue. I just hope he is eventually man enough to own up to his mistakes and not perpetually take it out on the stupidly innocent Paro.
Hope Paro grows out of her infatuation and delusions of destiny asap. Very hard to watch such a delusional, out of touch with reality character.

I agree with you, while Paro is at fault for being so ziddi, it is Rudra's own fault at the end of the day - the way he treated her and sexually intimidated her when he held her captive was reason alone for him to be suspended.
It also doesn't sit well with me that he protected her only when she was valuable to his mission...but after that? He did not give a shit about her, he forgot that he'd left her standing outside the house for Christ's sake. Rudra deserves the position he is in today, but yes I somewhat understand his POV...though I think he needs to man up and accept responsibility for his actions as well. Paro is not the sole reason for his down fall - his insecurities and jallat attitude is also responsible for his down fall.

Glad to know other people are out there who share my views. The whole forum seemed to be sympathizing and aligning with Rudra's plight today - that I was compelled to make the post :) Also I don't mean to undermine all the ways Rudra saved Paro from a fate worse than death. But the end never justifies the means and hence "Just Desserts". Rudra though a decent person - made some choices and badly thought out decisions based on his base nature - in anger and without much thought. He is facing the consequences of his choices/actions now - just as Paro is facing the consequences of her choices/actions.
I've said this before and will say it again. Both are equallly culpable and equally flawed. Thats the beauty of RR for me. Its 2 imperfect people coming together and hopefully complementing each other to make a perfect pair.

Both are equally responsible for where they are today.
Paro because of her naivety and Rudra because of his temper and impulsiveness.
Rudra started the whole marriage fiasco, Paro added fuel to it.
Neither is perfect, that's why RR rocks.

Paro should go clear his name herself and leave him give him some space for him to think!
