His reply would be something to cover the moment up because inside he knows he needs to defend her then. But if it's his Baba hurting her , right now , it doesn't take much guessing to know that Shlok will choose Niranjan.

You're right. Honestly, it sounded so pompous and shallow- what he said:

'If you ever end up hurting any of my people , you will lose me'-

When it's him and his people hurting and insulting her all the time.

Every time Astha makes another display of endurance or greatness, shlok

comes out looking even more shallow, foolish and vain.
