Aahana Deol: Foot in the right direction

Finally the decision has been made. Dharam-Hema's younger daughter Aahana (21) is working on a script which she will direct. Elder sister Esha will be acting in the film.

Aahana was recently seen in a water purifier ad with her mother and sister. But a source close to her said that "she was working on a script but things did not go according to plan. So she is taking a break and, in January, will start afresh with a new script. All this is premature news. Now Hema and Esha are going to Delhi for a launch and Aahana is busy doing her own stuff."

While her bloodline, right from her parents and brothers (Sunny and Bobby) to her sister Esha have made a name of themselves in front of the camera, Aahana dares to be different. She has decided to take up direction.

Let's take a quick look at some other star kids, who have preferred to walk on a diverse field and not in the arclights:

Kumar Gaurav's daughter Sachi (20) is studying fashion designing.

Sanjay Dutt's daughter Trishala (18) is studying criminal law in New York.

Nina Gupta's Masaba (18) is learning music and aspires to be a singer.

Sharmila Tagore's youngest child Saba is a professional designer.

Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi is studying fashion designing and plans to launch her own signature line.

And while Mithun Chakraborty's elder son Mimoh is set to be an actor, the second one is learning direction.

Though the bloodline may suggest a nudge towards being before the camera, some star children have chosen to do things differently.
