Although I am a strong advocate of critical thinking and constructive criticism, I have to give in :) after watching the precap. This is one intense, beautiful drama if we watch it as a piece of fiction. I know all about being a critical audience but there are times when you just want to enjoy something as a "dumb," "ignorant" viewer. Just like when you read Shakespeare... you don't wanna ruin it by reading it with all those critical lenses... The first time you read it for the sheer pleasure that it brings, so you just sit back, and enjoy the play with a mug of coffee. When everything has soaked in and you are out of that trance, you can reread the play to write a well-thought out criticism. In my Shakespeare course, I never had this option cuz we had a syllabus to cover.. so believe it or not, I failed to enjoy even Macbeth... What a shame!

Some shows are such that you have a problem with the conceptualization right from the beginning so you have issues and hence you need to vent out your frustration. But that's not the case with RangRasiya. I have enjoyed the show from day one and I don't see anything majorly wrong until I read a good criticism here on IF. So what I am gonna do is postpone reading those criticisms until the show ends or when it reaches that point where CVs just drag it aimlessly - hope we never get there though!

I want to enjoy RangRasiya like I enjoyed watching SLB's Devdas years ago. If I sit back and rewatch Devdas now, I am sure I can find many points of debate cuz no piece of fiction can be pure perfection to everyone.

I totally agree with you. I am also following your path! Initially I thought its wrong I should have open mind to see different views, even tried, but could not agree with them. Some came across as immature, some as kids.
Then I told myself, I have a choice. I will not read such stuff that do not give me any enlightens, that do not increase my joy, that did not make me wonder. I want to enjoy a story, that make me wonder the twinkling starts, that enlighten me new depths of love and faith, and smile on KCM' s comments... Which are nor rosy but still beautiful the way age old wisdom is used to execute age old deceit.

I better re watch the episode to catch some of the moments, smiles, frowns and their extended meanings with my new knowledge I gain after reading some of the good comments

You always have the choice to skip such posts. They ruin your mood , day and remind you how cynical the world is.

That is the reason I don't read 60% posts on this forum.

I can see where you are coming from, but art is subjective which is what makes viewing all the more exciting. We tend to view entertainment on the basis of our social conditioning. So I may tend to see things positively, but a friend might be cynical. It doesnt mean I'm right or they are wrong.

I personally welcome constructive criticism, if I didnt want it, I wouldn't be in an online forum where different views always needs to find a way to co-exist.

Well written. To be affected by criticisms is subjective i guess. I read most of posts here both positive and negative but that doesn't affect my pov of Rangrasiya. I know this is a daily soap and it has its limitations and as such inconsistencies and illogical stuff are a part and parcel of tv shows, so i usually don't overanalyse things and view it as fiction. As for me I love Rr and feel that it's better than most trp high shows now on tv. It has good story, perfect supporting cast and leads to die for.
