Paro...
How can you not fall in love with Paro? If there had to be a synonym for purity, innocence and soul wisdom in this story, it will have to be Paro's name. Or maybe Paro herself manifests all these other worldly virtues.
Such innocence and such soul-faith in the Almighty that by the time Paro falls into Rudra's arms in the closing shot of today's episode, you are just as flustered, flabbergasted and frustrated as Rudra.
Hotaa hai kisi ko kisi se aisaa pyaar? Koi jaata hai kisi ke liyye iss haddh tak? Koi kar saktaa hai kisi ka aisaa intezaar?
The feeling that Paro has for Rudra are those of divine love - of a soul-yearning that springs from the root of the soul. No, its not the worldly love that she feels for him. Its something that she has tied with her spiritual faith. It doesn't matter if Rudra tells her that he is just a flawed human -being and she shouldn't place him on a pedestal. Paro has long gone beyond his worldly presence and connected herself to his soul. And wisdom of the universe says that our souls are divine and once we are cleansed of the sins of this world, we shall reunite with our Father. I , for one, truly believe in that and how.
Its this divine faith in Lord Shiva and her own divine bond with Rudra which doesn't allow Paro to falter or collapse. For you, its silly and " forcing down of Lord Shiva and Maa Parwati story" ( whoever made this comment last week needs to understand that she/he hurt the religious and spiritual sentiments of many people ) , but for someone as soul-lit as Paro, its endurance , perseverance and re-instating of her faith that she is right and Rudra is just trying to escape what they share. Rudra didn't ask her to stand on one leg. She stood on her own because of her soul-faith and she knew that Rudra will come back for her. That's why there was no surprise on her face when Rudra came running like a rocket to her and asked his favourite question - " Paagal ho gayee hai kya?"... It was then, that her faith and patience told her that she could rest now ... what you asked for and what you believed in has come back for you. So, her muscles released the cosmic hold, became human and she went to sleep on Rudra's shoulder with the smile of a baby who had finally heard the much needed lullaby ( Rudra's voice ).
It may not make any sense to many people and it may make complete sense to a lot of people. The battle of Paro to win Rudra is actually a battle between the worldly world and the spiritual world. Paro has understood the jigsaw of Providence and she is trying to show it to Rudra . Rudra, who is so tortured and misguided in this flawed world that Paro's soul beauty terrifies him and he can't believe it. Simply because he has never seen anything like it.
Aur faayeda kya? Cheekhta hai, chillaata hai, gussa karta hai , sazaa detaa hai only to gather her in his arms and ask with a petrified face - Paro?
I am sorry but in this love story, terms like self-respect , purush mukti morchaa, naari shakti morchaa , make no sense to me. Simply because this love story is woven in spirituality and has been given completely divine arcs. Its not a regular angry young man and cute damsel story. Its a story of soulmates who are bound by divinity but one soulmate has lost his way due to karma. And the other one is desperately trying to bring him back home by her faith and perseverance.
The beauty of it all can be summed up in small details that the writers took care of:
1. Rudra ran like a rocket to get to Paro when he saw her getting drenched in rain.
2. Paro was barefoot and when Rudra ran to her as though his life depended on it, he was barefoot as well.
3. When Paro went to sleep on Rudra's shoulder as he engulfed her like a blanket , she had a smile on her face which said that Rudra's claims have no strength in front of her resolve and her faith.
Seriously. Paro is way too white for this world and she is in love with Rudra who is caught in the webs of this flawed world. Its a long journey but the victory is of Paro in her union with Rudra.
For the rest of the episode, you can just read the following points:
1. I had told you that Rudra was creating a vile and unnecessary adversary in Sumer, This Sumer darling is going to be huge hurdle in Rudra's and Paro's love story. Today what he has done is just a trailer,
2. Rudra's face had softened when Sumer said that it was not his fault if Paro was 'lattoo' on Rudra.
3. Seeing Dilshoo back in action was cool. Not much ronaa-dhonaa and he is back to his tamarind equation with his Rudra. However, the best part was that Dilshoo thinks Paro is innocent and told off Rudra when he tried to say otherwise.
4. All villains and vamps in this story are cupids. Thanks to all of them and how, Rudra and Paro will be getting married.,
5. The Lord Shiva idol in the house is BEAUTIFUL. And the chants of Om Namah Shivaaye are always soothing to hear for the one who believes in HIM.
Title of the post is 'Maasoom ' ( means innocent ) because i loved the expressions on Rudra's face when Paro's innocence shook something inside him. Just look at his face when she smiles at him and releases her weight on him. Not his fault. The kind of world that we live in, innocence is often shocking. You can see the impact on him even in the precap.
P.S- Its a small request to whoever is reading this. I have been seeing that a lot of members here have actually been 'mocking' the Lord Shiva and Maa Parwati parallels in this show. And sometimes, crossing the line to the point that it hurts sentiments of believers, Irrespective of who you are - believer or a non-believer , you can skillfully mock the show without bringing GOD in between to crack jokes. It may not make any difference to you, but being civil and 'nice' is not the same as building a spaceship. Hmmm? I am confident that you can manage this much. Am i right?
