While the makers of Bombay Velvet have left no stone unturned to keep Ranbir Kapoor's look a closelyguarded secret, Mirror has managed to sneak out the first image from the film's set. Our lensman Nilesh Wairkar clicked RK at Filmistan Studio while he was prepping for a photo shoot on Saturday evening. In the Anurag Kashyap directed period drama, the actor plays Johnny Balraj"a street fighter who goes on to become a tycoon. Mirror had previously reported that the actor had to beef up to look the part and had even flown his cook and trainer down to Sri Lanka where a major chunk of the film has been shot. The film is due for a Christmas release.

But is he supposed to be beefed up for this movie???? Maybe the camera or make up tricks will make him look like one because here he is really skinny.

^The story is set through different time periods and the main character goes through physical and emotional transformation in each time period. Hence, that might be the reason why Ranbir looks skinny in the pic, while he might be beefed up for another.

hmm..may be

but whatever we saw ranbir lately, he never looked beefed up to me

unless he is to put on some weight now n shoot 😃

They are probably closely guarding his look as a street fighter. That part of the story comes earlier on, hence, I am assuming they have already shot for it.
