POLITICAL INACCURACY
This is a reference to one of the older episodes of Jodha Akbar. I have not seen anyone else's comment about this.so just thought I will post this. If anyone else has, I am not aware of it and I am sorry for the repetition.
This is a reference to the episode aired on 23rd august 2013-the Talwarbaazi episode to be precise.
In the court scene, there is a serious discussion going on before Jodha barges in asking for Moti's life as her wish. Jalal is shown discussing some rebellion with the courtiers. There is a mention of Mirza hakim from Kabul whose revolt has to be suppressed. His atrocities have increased tremendously. I saw the scene twice to make sure I wasn't making a mistake. Jalal clearly says Mirza Hakim from Kabul has revolted.
Then in December was introduced a new character-Mirza Hakim, Jalal's step-brother from Kabul visiting him. I understand the rebel is not his brother. The only alternative left is that, the creative team made an error, small enough to be ignored by the audience of a romantic show but not at all inconspicuous for a person with good historical accuracy.
I apologise if I come across as a harsh critic. Honestly, even to me it makes no deal at all but felt this was a good enough topic to be shared. Just to confirm, I am an ardent fan of the show.
