Whether its 16th century or 21st century when someone loves another person with junoon/passion will he not behave the way jalal behaved today in eipsode?
We hear so many crimes of passion taking place in 21st century also both by men and women.
So why in 16th century if an husband(lets forget he is shahenshah) questions wife about her suspected lover(told to him by trusted person like maham an prime-minister of mughal empire and his dai maa) is its his fault?
Why should jalal after finding the supposed lover was his wife brother go and fall on his knees? OK out of love butt is this not wife error.
If any human was in jalal place whether 16/17/18...21/22/23rd century behave the same way if he/she was madly in love with a spouse and that spouse secretly met a supposed lover and hide this fact from spouse for weeks/months while they wait patiently thinking they will tell now they will tell later and yet they do not.
And above that that supposed outsider came and stayed in women section of the house disgiuised as khwaja sera where men not even sons/brothers/nephews of shahenshah are not allowed after age of 13?
Where the emperor's sister is pregnant and this man was in her duty? In 16th century men would kill wives(in 21st century it still happens in parts of asia/africa) if they felt their wife had looked at gair mard. So now if sharif had divorced/hit/killed or accused bakshi that she had allowed a gair mard to touch her who was responsible?
Is jalal not right in his anger of jodha?
What has he not done for her accepted her religion while she did not accept his, accepted her customs while she has not, accepted her family as hers, not touched her for almost a year after marriage and if he expects her to be atleast truthful when he asked her direct questions is that wrong?
Any other wife would have broken vachaan and told truth not allowed shaq in marriage
The only error jalal did was not ask her directly and that was to avoid embrassment to her and also somewhere he still had trust in her till yesterday. All who he asked mom, maham told wait wait do not ask she will think you are doubting her character so he waited.
Yes regarding him holding her hair was wrong but that just shows his passion his love his hurt at being betrayed. Its a natural human emotion. Do we not sometime fight with our siblings fist fights etc same way
So why should he go on bended knee begging her forgiveness. Its her fault sujamal's fault not his for sure.
If a stranger enters our house and we discover that he was not who we though he has cheated us we will go and complain to police or take legal action. And if our family member was already involved before and never told us would we not get angry and cut off relationships etc Here Akbar cannot do that because he himself is judge, king he only decides punishments etc
Women expect to be treated equally so does jodha equal to jalal
But when it comes to loyalty telling truth etc why double standards
When it comes to fault why always man is wrong women is right
Even if wife does fault why husband should go on knees and ask sorry why he must cut his hand etc to show that he was sorry when he is actually right and wife is wrong
We say male chavunistic behaviour is this not women chavunistic behaviour from jodha?
When jodha went out with her future mangetar her father/brothers were so angry at her they never asked her sorry for scolding/shoutinggg why husband different rules?
When a woman demands eqaulity it should be in all aspects not based on convienence when you want you are right and when you ae wrong also you are right??
Jalal fault is he trusts his advisors be it maham/atagah/hamida/salima/ruqaiah/adham but does he have another choice?
We cannot expect emperor to go and do detective work everytime for every matter and its tough for him to accept that his family/friends are misguiding/traitors. We also would behave like him only can we ever ever trust if some one say our parents/sister/bro-in-law/dai am/aunty, childhood friend is cheating/traitor not really. So why we accept jalal to believe it???
