Our unit source informs, "Rani who once seen as very close to the Bachchan family was not invited for the Abhi-Aish wedding and this cold war is considered to be one of the main reasons for it. On sets, Jaya Bachchan has formed a group of sorts with Rani's co-star in the film, Konkona Sen Sharma. Rani and Konkona play sisters and Jaya their mother in the film set in Varanasi. But despite having a terrific on screen chemistry amongst them, off screen Jaya and Rani are seen keeping to themselves."

"Once in between shots, as Jaya and Konkona were sitting separately from Rani, the veteran actress looking (and hinting) at Rani, asked Konkona whether she would lend her infectious laughter to her for a day? Konkona replied with a huge laugh. This pissed off Rani further. Since then a lot of tension is felt on the sets whenever they are around." our source reveals.

"Apparently, Rani is also miffed with her LCMD co-star Abhishek Bachchan as she had to reschedule her shooting dates for the month of April and May because of his wedding followed by his month long honeymoon to Tahiti. After having omitted out of the guests list for the Abhi-Aish wedding, Rani had reportedly sent her greetings to the couple wishing them good luck for the future.
