Here, is the BTS of the Father meets daughter, Gaffur Ahmed Siddiqui (Tej Sapru) and Zoya Farooqui (Surbhi Jyoti).

What we want showcase is the blistering sun, heat and yes, haze created for effect for the shoot. A scene where there are emotions running high. With lot of build up to be shot for the crescendo to be created. See how the director gets a shot done. This one is a three shot where danger lurks between two people who have just found each other. Father and daughter.

Process of filming is all about how one translates the written word into a visual that delivers a punch to people watching. A scene that is perhaps 4 minutes in total takes over 14 hours to be shot. And when there are more people, it is that much more tough to bring the right emotion on screen.

One does not look at the time, heat but task at hand. Surbhi had almost fainted with dehydration and the shoot had to be stalled for half hour or so taking in some insert shots. Yes, work has to be completed and of course, the crew that includes the Director and DoP perhaps have it tough with being on the location for the whole of the shift.

When you see a scene that touches you, do you wonder, how it was shot and how the actors put across their emotions so effortlessly over and over, for hours?
