Who do you think 'BAJIRAO MASTANI' will bomb at boxoffice?

I have a strong feeling that SLB will highly disappoint with his dream project 'Bajirao Mastani'. This movie has no strong male cast. Ajay or Ranveer will play the male lead. Deepika or Katrina will play female lead. Deepika is perfect choice because she has Indian beauty required to play Mastani but she is not a classical dancer. This is an obstacle. If SLB couldn't manage Deepika he may go to Katrina. She is not capable to even play modern roles. Playing period role is out of her capability.

Historical films need strong starcast to be a success. SLB makes mega budget film. This film will be atleast 80-100 cr film. Its very hard to recover such a huge cost with no strong male lead. Jodhaa Akbar managed to have excellent business mainly because of Hrithik-Aishwarya's chemistry but despite having a strong starcast the film had a slow start.

Now think about Bajirao Mastani. The story is very similar to Jodhaa Akbar. If SLB wants to recover cost he should cast Salman or Shahrukh anyhow because if Ajay or Ranveer does the film it will surely bomb at box office. I am not Ranveer hater. I like Ajay , Ranveer both but they are not strong enough to challenge Hrithik's Akbar.

I think you need to update your information on Ranveer, I think you are forgetting (or conveniently forgetting) Ranveer Singh just worked with SLB, in a film like Ram Leela and that movie made 100-crores.

Hrithik may be the best choice but Ranveer and Ajay are just as good (in terms of the box office power). If I am not mistaken, does Ajay not have more 100-crores movies than Hrithik Roshan?

Deepika is not a trained dancer but I think she's the best dancer from today actresses, she can dance pretty well although she's no where close to aish or madhuri when it comes to dancing but she can pull off the role of mastani quite well.

Ajay will be GREAT as Bajirao!
He's a great actor and can do justice to the role.

As for Mastani-Kashibai...dunno, before we get the official cast..we'll need to see every single actor/actress attach their name to the film. It's tradition now 😆

No idea how it will do at the BO. SLB's RL was missing the SLB touch of his classic films but it worked at the BO so he may go down that road again.
