I am not much aware about Leukemia but i have seen it in many shows to get etranged parents together and many more evil dramas and in almost all the shows they showed that bone marrow is needed from blood related sibling or parents and now when i come to know that it's not necessary i feel really angry on these storywriters...how they misuse such issues and twist it to show us same story again and again and some shows have shown cheapness bu using such critical issues...serisouly just tell me how is BV any different from other serials? 😡

Am sorry for the pain that you must be going through but at the same time applaud you for the courage and strength you seem to be having. As this is the most difficult pain to bear, a pain of seeing your child suffer. Which I have also seen in very close family friends who have lost their children at very young age due to Cancer.

Agree with you completely that BV which claims to be different should have done a better job of showing these facts or through the doctor sensitize people. Also to add in drama, showing that Ratan's bone marrow will match as he is father, was meaningless.

The problem is these serial creatives don't do research before showing a thing Its not with BV only I remember in one of my favorite shows they showed spinal cord operation been done in stomach and the patient almost died during operation but after operation sitting on his bed right in OT and within few hrs returning back home on his feet 😛These are conditions of these fictional shows The absolutely don't do proper research before showing anything 😆BV is no different than them but i think those bloopers can excused under creative license which in reality does not spread a bad message so feel these bloopers can be excused under creative license but what BV cvs did in rape track thats not excusable

Regarding dramatic element Well for that we cannot blame the creatives as its mostly us viewers who make them take dramatic route no matter how much we say later Its drama drama drama If cvs would have shown unrelated donor here not Ratan Singh The story would have finished right there How many of us would be sitting on our edge of seats trying to know what will happen Mannu will go to whom ? This we already knew Mannu won't die but the basic suspense is this so you see drama is done for entertainment, evoke interest because basically serials are for entertainment but yeah they should do some research to know how things are handled realistically for authenticity of a track

I applaud your efforts midst of difficult time in your family to educate us about the treatment of this deadly disease. Since the start of this track when DS said to make arrangement for Mannu's treatment in Jaiser hospital I knew they are not close to realty . An advance hospital equipped with BMT facilities can not be set in a jiffy . It would only delay Mannu's treatment.

But why CVs are putting emphasis on Ratan BM matching with Mannu when chances are only 5% just for drama sake ? No efforts to find unrelated donors were shown even when Ratan's BM report was not came out. Many viewers like me who do not know the specifics of Leukemia treatment , will only get confused by the procedure shown in the serial. Half information or wrong information will do only harm.

Like many others issues in past this Leukemia treatment is also a serious issue, if CVs have taken up this, it is there responsibility to show it correctly . In the name of creative liberty they can dramatize the situations, skip many facts but can not provide wrong information as they have shown that there are little chances of finding unrelated donors or Mannu can be shown improving just after the transplant.
