With new promo and montage being aired, I was reminded how from the beginning of the show characters of Osmaan and Suraiyya have intrigued me. Let me first start with Osmaan Abdullah.

Osmaan Abdullah, is shown to be a sophisticated business tycoon who is still connected to his roots and culture through his sister and her family.
He clearly acknowledges this by expressing that he desired either of his sons would accept and perform day-to-day cultural norms. But clearly this never happened. Surprisingly he himself is not shown to practice any of those norms 😳. I wonder why?
🤔 ... may be he does not want to offend his family? May be he compromised his routine as he started out on his business journey and later at some point regretted it? May be he realizes that somewhere down the life he is loosing out on his tradition and customs? ... And there can be many more such may be's!! 😆
Inspite of this he is shown to be caring and loving father, husband, brother and of course, Maamu to his two nieces. 😊
He has not been to Bhopal for long time with the reason being "occupied with work". However, this cannot be true. Also they have shown Zain visiting his phups as a kid, which I guess is before he went to London. So while he was gone why could not Osmaan visit his sister? 😕
Apparently he never invited his sister and her family also to Mumbai which was quite surprising. I wonder why they were not invited for his elder son's wedding with her being the only sister? Thankfully on behalf of audience Fahad asked this question when Shabana and Ghulam were invited to Mumbai. To which Osmaan admitted it to be his mistake but I felt a restrain in his reply. Clearly this was a lame excuse by a brother who has been in regular contact with his sister through phone and chat.
Moreover, the way he is shown to be observant about Zain-Aaliya's relation or Fahad's equation with his wives, he is equally observant of Suraiyya's behavior. I am quite confident that he understands her dislike for Bhopal and his sister's family.
Whenever he is caught between the two he is shown to get through the situation very cleverly with a balancing act. There are many instances of which, following stand out clearly: (1) During Aaliya's wedding, staying at Shabana's place instead of hotel inspite of Suraiyya's insistence, (2) Making Suraiyya understand effect of intoxication and divorce (I really liked his approach 😆) and (3) Moderating Suraiyya's presentation of assortment of juice to Shabana and Ghulam on their arrival to Mumbai.
So I feel there is a strong reason that he overlooks Suraiyya's waywardness. Something that will emerge as the show progresses.

Now Suraiyya. She is an independent lady who is a celebrity cook and an elegant wife of a business tycoon. She hates low class people and especially BHOPAL!
In the first episode she claimed to have put lots of efforts to get rid off Osmaan's Bhopali nature and his Bhopal connection. My question right then was ❓
Also I wonder if she was the one who suggested to send off Zain to London? Because until then Zain visited Bhopal. So at that time Zain was the Bhopal connection, that she broke and now its Aaliya ❓
However, before anybody could think more of it she was in Bhopal attending Aaliya's wedding 😆. She was against Zain and Aaliya's wedding (worked quite hard for not letting her son being trapped by Bhopali's 😆) but could not really go against Osmaan's decision. This shows that she has her own fears but what and why? Again they are not clear 😳.
I always believed that Suraiyya saw Aaliya's arrival as resumption of Bhopal connection. So post wedding, it has been all about Zain and Aaliya's developing equation as a result of Suraiyya's schemes to get rid of Aaliya 😆.

I don't know if the new storyline will be one of the Suraiyya's new scheme but it will certainly decipher the intriguing relationship of Mr. & Mrs. Osmaan Abdullah Sr.

It will be great to have views and opinions of forum members. 😊

I am equally clueless of the mystery 😆, but as I said it's time to get to know more of Osmaan and Suraiyya's equation. I think seeds for the track were laid when the trio: Aaliya, Fahad and Zain pin-pointed Suraiyya's animosity for Bhopal.

Great post. You summed all the thread together very well.
CVs have planned this track from the beginning so I am hoping for a good execution. It was really a marvel to see all the things coming together in this track..like Suraiya's hate towards Bhopal, the name 'Barkat', Osmaan being so grounded and sensible tolerating Suraiya's irrational behaviour regarding this issue and all the points you mentioned.

I come back to this post as it will help me to give a proper closure to it.
Most of my questions concerning Osmaan and Suraiyya's divergent behavior were answered in today's episode.

However, now I have a different question:
What made Osmaan consider Zain-Aaliya's wedding when he was always aware of Suraiyya's animosity for Bhopal (which is quite valid). I thought when Suaraiyya mentioned this today, Osmaan might explain but he preferred to stay quite. Why??🤔
