Jodha and Jalal - Then and Now

Today I was watching some past episodes (before benazir track and upto benazir track) of Jodha Akbar...One thing that struck me was, the gripping screenplay, brought out excellently by Rajat and Paridhi with their superb acting 👏, the other cast supporting ably well, the story in keeping with the major happenings of that time with little or more creative differences (which was ok - we can put it as CVs taking creative licences)
But the only thing that stood out was, that the story had some punch in the tracks..

But now the CVs seem to be either dragging their feet because they are approaching the confession or they have lost the plot completely..

I think the CVs feel that once they show the confession, the TRPs will drop, I think not...if they keep the story line gripping with little romantic interludes between the leads, the audience will not mind..

In all the past MUs some quality of Jalal was shown which was a facet of his being the shahenshah and the kind of background that he came from...
Also Jodha was shown to be a perfect foil to his nature..thereby both approaching any event from their own personal angle, thereby in the process illuminating each other and us viewers about their own takes on the issues faced...
We gradually started loving both Jodha and Jalal..

Now after Chishti sahab gave a couple of predictions, the CVs are in no hurry to even take a normal route to go thru the predictions making them come true...😕

This would have been the normal logical progression of the serial, but now CVs are dragging in all sorts of homeless cats in the house (harem politics, MA and Ruks going nuts over nothing, etc) 😡

Also we haven't had any resolution to the jaziya tax that Jalal found out on his pilgrimage...
There are many such issues like many people pointed out in their posts;
Shivani saga
They have stopped introducing the navratnas...after todar mal...
when will that happen???😲 etc and etc...Viewers would love to see the navratnas..

we do not want this to be another saas bahu serial...we love it because it is a historical serial with lovely personal touches of the leads...

I did not watch yesterday's episode which did not have anything of substance (I was ok reading Divya and mansi's posts which was enough for me 😊)...as far as the story of Jodha and Jalal is concerned...

Jalal was an alpha male and I am pretty sure he would not have vacillated before asking Jodha about any of her actions (saying this with respect to the 'gair mard' track)...He would have gone ahead and either in his tedha ways or straight would have gotten a love confession from her within a week of Chishti sahab's predictions...

Now he is being shown as a lovlorn puppy who does not want to lose his love and also is not able to trust her enough to let the matter be..This is some serious disservice to the emperor of Hindustan...😡

In history, I think from what I have read, Jalal was busy in conquering and expanding his empire in his young age...so harem politics would not have been very high on his mind!! But our CVs being used to saas bahu serials out of habit gravitate towards harem politics alone..😡.

I seriously hope that CVs do not irritate the viewers by bringing in distractions in the form of different love interests for Jalal and let him handle his business...This track has dragged down everything with it...😡

Hope CVs get some good ideas pretty soon..

Great post. I totally agree with most of what you have written. These days the tracks are not interesting and they have reduced an Emperor into a puppy love. Tracks have no essence and its the same MA-Ruq plotting and endless MU. The show has become a comedy than an epic love story.

Real Adham was killed after 4 months of Jalal Jodha marriage and MA 40 days later.

You should realize CVs intentions, they killed of Behram Khan but are hanging onto MA's robe for dear life, how will they show JA Sas Bahu style otherwise?!

Who likes to watch MA, Ruk, Javeda, SD, BB, Adham Khan? - Only CVs

MA character never gets caught, for her CVs are ever willing to make Jalal look dumb and puppet and Jodha turned into a doormat from fiery proud woman

I think all the good writers left with the 90

Its sad how a great show has turn out to be. If it continues like this then it will eventually loose many viewers. Everything has a limit including watching craps tracks from JA.

This entire week feels like a torture. The Monday episode was okay. Tuesday and Wednesday episodes are making me think why am I even watching this non-sense!😡. I agree, the CVs want to build up a tempo before the maha-dhamaka on Friday, so they would show all of MA and Ruqs plotting. But there is a limit. They are giving us scenes which are boring to death. I don't want to waste half hour watching ridiculous things. There should be some sense in their plotting as well but it all feels like a drag that is never going to end!😡. I am so just waiting for Friday, when this entire bubble bursts and we can say that Ruqs and Maham ka kaam is over!😎

I hope the CVs better do something fast to keep up with the standard of the show!🥱
