Confusion about Queen movie

I saw Queen today. Mindblowing movie ...

Its been what like a month since it released. Still housefull in US. people were literally sitting on the stairs to watch it. I dont know when this happened the last time for any bollywood movie.

This is also confusiong. All these so called 100 Cr 200 Cr movies, never seen a housefull theatre. I watched dabangg, dhoom 3 in fist weekend. walked out in interval in both. theater was not full at all, hardly 20-25 people. Jab tak hai jaan and rockstar may be few more people. Is it possible all these big stars they fool the public to believe their movie is doing big business so their market value remains high. I am seriously begining to think so.

Coz Dabangg & Dhooms get hundreds of screens in US alone.

Queen had limited releases with probably max 20 screens in US.

No..it's just that the Khans are more popular in India than they are in USA..esp the likes of Salman.

And plus Queen is a good film and is getting great word of mouth..hence the housefull.

there was not a single empty seat in the theatre. Several people had to get return tickets and some decided to watch it sitting on the stairs.
Never seen such mania before.

It's still playing in some cinemas, almost US run is over though.

i am not sure but I dont think it is true. In my town 3 theatres play bollywood movies. 2 were playing dhoom and they are playing queen also.
I think the same is true for most of the US. And anyways if some theatre is not playing queen its their own loss. Even elderly people were coming out to watch it and there was a mini india outside the theatre.

most indian movie play for 2-3 weeks here. this is the first one to go on for a month. considering it was still houseful, may be more.

It may have been houseful but you are telling me people sat on the steps. LOL no cinema in the US would allow that because it violates Health & Safety rules.

I agree same thing is happening in my state, Queen is still playing it's crazy.

The Khans are not really that popular here or maybe people here are about the content not the stars. Krish3 played for a week here same with Jai Ho. But I remember Dabangg 2 and ZNMD played for 3 weeks so like I said people are about the content not so much about who stars in the movie. I think that's only in India.
