A Maharashtrian from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. After completing graduation and then MBA, he began teaching physical education when he got a chance to come to Mumbai on a seven-day visit, for the first time. He had confirmed tickets for his return journey when he got to know of Grasim Mr India 2002 almost on the last day. On an impulse, he cancelled his tickets and participated in the ramp show. That was his first attempt at fame or whatever little he got of it then. He returned home. Though he always wanted to work in Mumbai, he could not leave his mother alone back home after the demise of his father. But after that one Mumbai visit, he soon began getting restless. Around that time he had a part-time job with Airtel, besides working as a gym instructor at Madhavrao Scindia's club in Gwalior. He felt something was beckoning him to Mumbai and after four months, he told my mother that he wanted to try my luck in the city of dreams. With her blessings, he landed here. like any other newcomer, he too had to struggle a lot. He started with modelling and almost within one month, he had done about 25 ramp shows. He also did some ads with Prahlad Kakkar of which the prominent ones are Skoda, LG Refrigerator, Hero Honda, Bharat Petroleum, Maruti Esteem, Dabur Red Gel toothpaste.
