Lovely post, Sunara. So well analysed. Yesterday when I heard him tell her, "He's not your Bapusa" I felt he's trying so hard to keep his parents his own, but like she said, "Not all relations are forged through blood". He had no answer to that so had to be snide and tell her "Yes you should know about relationships, given how you tried to burn Bapusa alive!" He didn't want to acknowledge the truth of her statement, or consider its implications. 😊

thank you Sabs! sorry just now got time to respond back. True as she said its true that 'dil ke rishtein khoon ke rishton se bada hote hai'

i think he is jealous in a way too.. both of his parents love her... they have no compulsion to love her cz she is no1 of theirs. as in there is no obligation.. so that means that they love her cz they 'want' to!
n he on the other hand feel shortchanged.. his parents due to being biological are obliged to love him.. yet he didn't get that much.. but of course his father loved him, which he now knows.. still i guess he is in a way territorial like a kid!! 😳

Hey no worries, I completely understand. 😊
And so true!! She gets their love effortlessly, and yet he has to struggle to keep it from dying out!! Poor Rudra!! It's enough to make anybody insecure and jealous. Ranawat was nasty to him off and on ever since his mother ran away, and that must have made him fairly unsure about how much his remaining parent loved him.
I remember Dilsher saying a rather odd line when he first meets Paro. Something to the effect of "Rudra's never let me go all these years, so why will he let you go." For all the world as though he too were Rudra's prisoner. I found that line quite odd - why would a parent say that about their child? Surely, it's an unwritten law that children want to stay close to their parents. So why should Rudra's need be equated with imprisonment. Or perhaps it was restricted to Dilsher's desire to be free of his son's interference in his drinking/misery. Either way, at some point Dilsher let Rudra feel unwelcome/unloved. So no wonder his insecurity.

I agree. I really like her relationship with both of Rudra's parents, independent of him. I will never forget the "Rat" episode when Dilsher sees her for the first time, sitting on top of a wardrobe. It was so cute and funny. He does care for her and she for him, even in that hostile situation which she was in initially. I think he will be her saviour in this "fire" track. Her Bapu sa! I love her Rudra gets so mad everytime she says that. Jealous boy! 😆
