Ameesha unlucky compared to Sonam?

I was wondering why Ameesha had such a short career? Many guys including yours truly had a crush on her after KNPH released. She was part of a blockbuster and All time blockbuster with important roles in both films. Humraaz was also a different film and she got nominated for best actress. You couldn't have asked for a better start to the career. Yet she ended up doing Tamil/Telugu films in her fourth year.

Compared this to Sonam who started with a Disaster and has survived in the industry for 6-7 years without giving a super hit until BMG. It took her 6 years and Raanjhanaa to get some praise as an actress.

Neither are good actresses, but its startling to see Ameesha fizzling out so soon.

Was it because she wasn't a star kid? You see Abhishek still surviving despite having no solo hit for many years. Not to mention how long it took him to get his first it. Did the cat fight with Kareena also affect Cherry's career badly?

Bad choice of movies, bad acting, no connections, lack of good PR.

I think she was responsible for the downfall due to association with Vikram Bhatt. She just neglected her career for a couple of year & when she came back, things had changed.

Basically Sonam is a genuine person. She is not a parasite living off other people who are not related to her, like Salman Khan,Akshay Kumar or Mukesh Ambani.😆 She only has a father with whom she has doen only one film, rest one they havent yet released.

Her success was I hate Luv Storys and Ranjhnaa, whose directors are not not Anil.

She likes to live with dignity and whatever her films are on box office, she dosent go on false relations with people over 40 to suvive at industry having no talents,

As for Amisha i guess she also didnt come across anones shoulders on a piggy back ride.

Not looking for one. But I was seriously thinking what went wrong with Cherry. Disheartening to think she didn't get half the chances Ab Jr and other flop star kids got. :(

Wow, didn't knew she was this crazy. I loved HR and Cherry ever since KNPH. I think that was the first BW movie I have watched as well. She was so beautiful and loved her bubbly character in the film.

Sonam looks absolutely divine on screen regardless of her acting. She dresses extremely well, is well spoken regardless of foot in the mouth disease and is hard to ignore Even if I feel she is in BW largely because of daddy, the extras she brings to the table like fashion, sunny personality make her hard to ignore unlike an Abhi or Imran who come across as bitter or boring.

Agree Humraaz she was best.

Regarding all these failure and success we sometime overlook the nepotism works in bollywood. The last decade for actress is mostly belongs to star kids . To be in successful it is either connection of film lineage or contact of closeness with different groups of director , stars etc. for outsiders and having a good PR.
