Scene 1
The episode begins at a Holika-burning gathering with Dhenchu and a bunch of chatting guys. One of them receives a phone call and goes aside. Dhenchu sees a gun behind his belt, grows suspicious and follows. He overhears the guy naming some address on the phone. The latter meets another man and says he's taken up the task of assassinating Abhijeet sir. Dhenchu records the entire conversation on his phone, but accidentally gives away his location and the crooks start chasing him. Dhenchu manages to give them the slip and tries calling Abhijeet sir, but it doesn't connect. He calls Daya sir and tells him what he saw, but is attacked before he's finished. Daya sir calls Abhijeet sir and informs him about Dhenchu's warning, and firmly tells him to stay in his house while he goes to Dhenchu's house to help.
Scene 2
Daya sir calls Sachin to Dhenchu's house as he himself arrives there. The house is locked and a neighbour tells him that Dhenchu had went to attend the Holi function. Sachin arrives with Nikhil and says that the mobile company has revealed that Dhenchu's mobile is somewhere there. They manage to trace and find the mobile in an alley. Noting that it's undamaged, Daya sir construes he deliberately put the phone there to help them. He sees that Dhenchu had last called him only, and also finds a photo of the two thugs he had clicked (with the first guy's back turned to the camera). The cops construe these two must be the ones planning to kill Abhijeet sir, and are probably still there. They decide to interrogate the locals about them.
Scene 3
The cops enquire several people about the second thug in the picture and eventually a lady recognizes him as a crook named Pappu and points them to his location where he apparently frequents to play carom. Sachin and Nikhil go there and find Pappu. He tries to escape, but they chase and capture him. Sachin hands him a tight slap.
Scene 4
On being questioned hard in the bureau, Pappu reveals that the other thug is named Anil and he's the one who's apparently been hired to assassinate Abhijeet sir, and he took Dhenchu with him as well. All he knows is that he plans to attack Abhijeet sir in some Holi party. Sachin says that Abhijeet sir is indeed visiting a party with Dr. Tarika. They attempt to contact both of them but find their mobiles switched off. Pappu gives them Anil's number, which is switched off as well. ACP sir construes they must be in a low network zone and instructs them to ask the mobile company about the last known locations of all three mobiles. He also demands Anil's photo from Pappu.
Scene 5
Sachin matches Anil's photo in their database and finds out that he's a known criminal who committed two murders and was imprisoned in 2007 but broke out of prison. Nikhil obtains data about the last traced paths of all 3 mobiles from the mobile company. Judging by the paths, the cops deduce that Abhijeet sir first went to pick Tarika up from her house and they left for Pritamnagar. Anil then went there as well. ACP sir decides to find out about Holi parties being held at Pritamnagar.
Scene 6
ACP sir, Daya sir, Freddy sir, Shreya and Nikhil arrive at one such party, very near to which all 3 mobiles had been switched off. The security guard there recognizes Anil's pic and says he came there 15 minutes ago. Guessing that he's not found his target yet, the team goes on to enquire the party group about Anil. None of them recognize either of the three. The cops go inside the house and eventually a man there says he heard two people conversing and one referring to the other as Sr. Insp. Abhijeet. He recognizes Anil and says both of them went upstairs. The cops go there and hear a gunshot behind a locked door. Daya sir kicks it in and they find Anil grievously shot in there. As they call for an ambulance, Anil gasps that Abhijeet sir shot him and dies.
ACP sir spots from the window a man walking away and guesses it's Abhijeet. Despite Daya sir's protests, he orders him to go and fetch him by any means. ACP sir examines the gun lying there and discovers it hasn't been fired. Outside, Daya sir chases "Abhijeet" but loses him in the party crowd. The people standing there begin to use taunts for a CID officer being suspected, and ACP sir talks them down. Talking with the team, he says that the absence of anybody else in the room and the gun found there being unfired indicate that Abhijeet sir shot Anil. Freddy sir suggests Abhijeet sir acted in self-defense, but ACP sir wonders why he didn't stop when called. Daya sir returns and tells him what happened. ACP sir reprimands him and says Abhijeet sir fled because he indeed committed the crime.
Scene 7
In the forensic lab, Daya sir instructs Nikhil to find out about Anil's residential address and send Sachin there. Dr. Salunkhe performs tests and finds out that the bullet which claimed Anil's life did not come from Abhijeet sir's gun. The fingerprints on the gun found are Anil's and some stranger's. They discuss about the issue and Dr. Salunkhe expresses much concern for Dr. Tarika. Daya sir assures him she'll be fine and decides to go to Anil's place at once.
Scene 8
Sachin, Freddy sir and Shreya arrive at Anil's house and search the place. They find wads of cash hidden in cushions and construe it's all blood money Anil received for taking hits. They hear pounding sounds and follow them to a bedroom. Inside the bed, they find Dhenchu tied and gagged, and rescue him. He explains that when he was talking to Daya sir on phone, Anil attacked and knocked him out, and held him hostage there. He recalls Anil talking about some address in Shantinagar and tells them about it. Sachin gives Daya sir this address.
Scene 9
Daya sir and Nikhil visit the Shantinagar house in question. Pankaj calls and informs them that the house apparently belongs to Abhijeet sir. Daya sir says Abhijeet would've surely informed him if that were the case, and this is a scam. Suddenly, a gunshot rings out and a man runs out of the house. They seize him and he gloats that he's shot Abhijeet sir. Daya sir rushes to his aid at once and finds out that the victim isn't Abhijeet sir but someone else. He slaps the killer Suresh hard, who's shocked to find out he killed the wrong person.
He confesses that an unknown caller at 12:30 offered this hit on Abhijeet sir to him, warning that a previous assassin has already been slain trying to do the same. Daya sir construes this man must've been in the Holi party then, if he knew that Anil had been killed. Daya sir submits the number for verification. Nikhil finds a fake ID card and informs that the victim had been impersonating Abhijeet sir. We're shown a flashback of the Kolkata case where Daya sir faced a similar situation. Daya sir construes that this impostor must've been the one who killed Anil. Suresh receives an SMS from his boss asking if the task is accomplished, and Daya sir replies yes. The boss replies that he's going to do his end of the job now. Suresh says that the boss had planned to kill someone close to Abhijeet sir after his murder. Daya sir realizes it's Tarika and wonders if that is an impostor as well.
Scene 10
ACP sir, Shreya and Nikhil arrive at the last of the parties in the area, guessing that Abhijeet sir and Tarika are there. Shreya receives a call stating that the mastermind's phone has been traced to be there itself. We see Abhijeet sir inside and having an reluctant conversation with an intoxicated dude. The team rushes in and informs him that Tarika is danger. One of the ladies there says Tarika just went upstairs with a friend. Upstairs, Tarika is in a room when a masked man holds her at gunpoint and gloats that he's killed Abhijeet sir. Just as he's about to shoot her, the team turns up and captures him. He turns out to be one of the party guys who was taunting them at Anil's murder spot. Abhijeet sir hands him a crackling SLAP (tm).
The guy confesses that after his henchman Anil got killed, he hired Suresh and his target was the fake Abhijeet (who ACP sir reveals was one Digvijay) was his target, because he used to threaten and bully him to extort money, and his family was ruined as a result. Thus, he wanted to avenge himself on Abhijeet and Tarika. ACP sir expresses regret for what he went through, but says what he did was wrong as well and lead to two deaths. He says he'll likely be executed for his crimes now.
