Hey all, as per special request of Purno, I'm writing my idea of making the story better as a short story. Hope you'll like it. As we are all tired of Adbhoot Se and Reptile Se, it's our new story, Jani Se....have fun reading it.

Jani Se

As per his usual routine, Jai entered his privet room with a glass of scotch. The room was filled with Bani's pictures and a few pictures of their kids, Atharva and Krishna. His family, their family, that doesn't exist anymore. How many dreams they've dreamt together, how they turned so wrong, so wrong that it's beyond repair. If all this never happened, if Bani was still there with him, how exciting every days would have been.

They would've brought up the kids with love and care. He can almost imagine how proud Bani would've been of their two kids. He can almost imagine Bani calling him to tell excitedely, "Mr Walia, guess what, Atharva is walking, our son is walking for the first time!"

He could almost imaging coming home from a hard day and see Bani's glowing face and mesmerizing smile waiting for him, eager to tell that their daughter Krishna has said Papa for the first time.

Nothing happened. None of them. He couldn't blame anyone, not even God. He's the damn person that did everything. It's his fault that everything went out of order, out of his hand, their hand and life slowly swept away from him.

Each breath he takes, he feels that he's deceiving Bani. They promised to stay together, live together and die together. Now I'm living, and she's gone, she's nowhere to be seen and it's my bloody fault.

But why does he feel like Bani is here? Why does he feel like Bani is so close to him. The lonely noisy city seemed to get back the same warmth and essence when she used to live here. He remembered Rano's words,

Di apke haar saas me hain, isi liye aap usse mehsoos kar rahi hain

But someone from his inside told him, that's not the truth. Bani has been in his every breath forever. But he's never felt like this before. "She's here," he muttered to himself, "I know she's here." He ran a finger through one of Bani's picture, "I don't know in which form you came back, I don't know how you look like now, I don't know whether you have came as an angel or as a warrior, I don't know if you've come to bring back my life or to remove it completely, the only thing I know is that you're here. You can't hide from me. I know you are here."

………………………….

Far away, Bani Walia was having some turmoil also. No, she can't have some turmoil, there's nothing that Bani can think, cause she is dead. Bani Walia is dead, that's the truth, thought she. Bani's beloved husband killed her, Bani's part of life, her sister killed her, her other sister's witness went against her, her mother figure Maasi told she was insane, they all plotted and murdered her. Bani Walia is Dead, dead, dead.

But it's not the truth, deep down her hear she knew that Bani Walia is not dead. She's still alive, the same vulnerable Bani is alive who wants to trust and lives for everyone. She's wearing a false mask Durga Dusgupta. She has never become Durga, she can never be. The much Aparajeet tried to turned her into Durga, the more she couldn't become Durga. She doesn't know why. She wanted to be Durga, she wanted to destroy Jai Walia, Pia, the whole lot of people whom she once thought her family.

But no, she know now that she'll only burn. She can't burn the others. She practiced to burn their picture but in real life she never could do so. Whose house I'm gonna burn? Of my husband's? Forget the husband part, stupid, he told in the court that you are out of your mind. She can do it, she thought. In this five years, she has earned the courage to destroy her husband's house, her husband's life.

Her sister? Who betrayed her so severely? For whom I abandoned every happiness of my life, I let my childhood go rotten to get her happy and what she did? Snatched away my husband, my home, my children. I can do anything to her. I don't feel like crying at her pain anymore. In this five years, she has gathered enough hatred to destroy her sister forever.

But, by destroying them, she have to destroy her kids' home, their father, their future. She can't do it. Cause she's not Durga, she's Bani and that's for sure.

Durga was disgusted and tired of Bani. It's about time she dies. She's making me weak. Even after all this, when she saw Jai, she felt something for him. And that was not pure hatred or anguish. She felt that she was missing him. How stupid of her.

Call me crazy, call me blind
As still this suffering is stupid
After all of these time

Bani remembered all the days when her life changed. Jai telling in the court she is out of her mind..her tantrum at Jail, her childbirth, Jai taking away the children, her ending up in a Mental asylum….everything came back to her mind. She shook her head as if to shave away all those memories. It is time, the time has come. I'm not Bani Walia, I'm Durga Dusgupta. Jai Walia, get ready for me.
…………………………

Jai Walia waited patiently in his cabin. Today, he's got an appointment with Ms Durga Dusgupta. Well, he doesn't know much of her. He's not seen her once. But the things he knew about her was enough, She was Aparajeet Dev's representative. Jai was not sure what does she want to talk about, but still he's assumed that it might be important. May be some new trick of Aparajeet Dev.

Durga Dusgupta's Black Lexus braked in front of Walia Tower. She coolly got down of the car and fixed her appearance a little. She tired hard not to think of the memories that were bound with this tower. Her getting job, being promoted, days after her marriage, days during the divorce case, those happy days when she'd just come here to meet her husband, in stead of working or business.

Shaking every dilemma and doubt, she entered the main building. A murmur was heard among the staffs. They were unable to believe their eyes. Bloody hell! It's Bani M'aam!" Durga completely ignored them and walked in the huge cabin of Jai Walia. She was almost entering without a knock, as she never knocked before entering his cabin. She gathered her strength a more and knocked only to hear "Come in" of a too familiar voice.

……………………….

Jai was transfixed to see the woman who entered his cabin after a knock. She was elegant and pretty, wearing a sleeveless peacock blue georgette Kameez and blue Jeans. A scarf was carelessly draped around her neck. She has got high make-up and curled up hair. But right now, these were not Jai's concern off course. He's stupefied to see Bani in front of him.

"B-B-Bani?"

Durga looked around her sarcastically and yawned, "With whom are you talking to? So, I've heard right. They're telling that Jai Walia suits better in a Mental Asylum than at a office."

Jai felt like he's fallen from the top flight of a high stairs. She looked so much like Bani, he couldn't understand, and she spoke so unlike Bani. May be he's just imagining things.

Durga clicked her fingers noisily to snap him out of his thoughts. "Hey Mister, aren't you going to pay any attention or keep staring in the space like an idiot?"

Before Jai could answer, the door of the room opened and two small figures entered the cabin like storm. Seeing them, Durga was as speechless as Jai was a moment ago. She looked with mixed feelings as Atharva and Krishna surrounded Jai.

"Dad, you promised us, you'll stay with us."

"Papa, aren't you supposed to take care of us? What will you answer Mamma tonight when she'll ask you about us?"

"Dad, worry about us, I've been kidnapped! What if you never got me back?"

"Papa, papa, know what Mausi told today, she told mamma was our happiness."

Both Jai and Durga was speechless as the children went on and on. After about 5 minutes of chattering they noticed first time that they're not alone in the room with their father. They were surprised to see their Mom whom they've only saw in the pictures.

"Mom!"

"Mamma!"

They both ran to her to give her hugs and they both hugged her knees. As soon as both the children touched her, her Durga self seemed to falter. She dropped in her knees and hugged both the kids. She tried her best not to let her tears go. But that was an impossible thing to do.

Just then Jai got up and said, "Atharva, Krishna, move from her. She's not your mother."

Bani's eyes shot up. She let the children go and stood up, "One minute Mr Walia, what the hell do you think you are? You took away my kids once and now you are trying again? What rights do you have to say that they are not my kids? I- I.."

Bani stopped mid ways, realizing what she was saying. She was trapped. He's gotten her now. she's admitted that she's Bani. What a shame to do.

"Bani…" said Jai triumphantly. "Where have you been?"

Bani didn't answered and when she looked up to face Jai their was poor hatred in her eyes. "You want to know where I had been? In the hell, Mr Jai Walia. In the hell, the hell you created for me. With the help of my own blood, my sister."

"Let's not discuss it here." Said Jai softly indicating the children. "Bani, this is Atharva, and this is Krishna. And you two, here's your Mother."

Both Jai and Bani felt the emotional break down within themselves. Jai thought, what a thing to do. I'm introducing my kids with their mother, what a thing to do.

Bani thought, my children, I found them, but I'm lost. He knows who I'm and now he's going to throw me again in some other hell and separate me from my kids yet again. I've lost my battle, I've lost it in my first day.

……………………………

After few hours, Jai pushed Bani inside a royal suit of one of his hotels. They've safely dropped the children to home and now Jai wanted to talk to her. Though, according to Bani, there's nothing to discuss. But Jai insisted that she hear on him just once.

Jai took a deep breath and started to recite the reason behind his act, he added his resentful experience, his sorrows and guilt perfectly; Bani could already feel herself being melt.

There was a long silence between them. Bani was thinking, how Pia can get so, so cruel, mean and nasty to do this to her. She was unable to believe that one woman can stoop so low. She almost tried to disbelieve Jai but something within her told her that if she did so, it would be the greievest mistake of her life.

Jai sat in front of her on the floor, "Bani, I'm- I'm sorry Bani. I know there's nothing I can do to make you forgive me, but still I'm asking for forgiveness, I'm really sorry Bani."

Bani shook her head to say no. Then she spoke, "It's impossible for me to forgive you."

"Bani please, I can't live without you, I-I'm incomplete without you Bani."

"You showed it perfectly five years back." Snorted Bani angrily.

"Bani please,.."

"I don't want to hear a thing from you."

Jai gave up, "Ok, if you feel like this, it's right. I think I'll never bother you again. Bye Bani."

Bani looked at him and suddenly forwarded toward him and slapped him tight. Then she started to hit his chest with her fist, "what do you mean, you don't bother me? What do you mean bye Bani? How dare you? What kind of man are you. You gave me a hell of a life for five years and you can't bear my words for five minutes. I-I-I hate you Jai Walia."

Bewildered, Jai pulled her to him and hugged her tight, "I love you too, Bani."

Bani kept sobbing in his chest for god knows how long. Then she looked up at him and smiled through her teary eyes, "I love you, too"

After that they kept living happily together with Atharva and Krishna forever. Well, you might be wondering what happened to Aparajeet Dev and Pia Reptile and the cartoons who helped them. (Jigs and Karu). Well, when the author wrote this Short FF, all the JB despos swept them away with their respective brooms.

I'm sure that you've all felt asleep after reading this "short" story. Well, sorry for starting it so emotionally and ending it melodramatically. I just thought that you should all cheer up a bit as well as me. So, it's my simple try to cheer you up...pls leave a comment if you've liked it...
