Post the generation leap, Renuka Shahane wants the white streaks in her hair to be removed

Generation leaps have become an inevitable part of every television show. However, the way in which actors respond to the change in storyline and their look, varies widely.

Recently, there was a buzz that Renuka Shahane, who plays the protagonist Anjali in Sony's Jeete Hai Jiske Liiye, wasn't too thrilled about whitening her jet-black hair.

Apparently, Renuka had been promised that the grey hair would not stay for long and that her character would get to dye her hair black again.

A source from the unit reveals, "The leap on the show was decided right from the beginning.

Renuka was aware of it. However, she wasn't kicked with the idea of retaining the whitener in her hair for a long period."

'I was aware'

Keeping in view Renuka's discomfort, Anjali's character will be given a dash of glamour in the coming week.

Says Renuka, "Yes, Anjali will be sporting black hair soon. However, this has nothing to do with any demand that I have made."

Was she uncomfortable with sporting white hair? "Not really. When the show came to me, I was told that they were looking for an actor who can play a 26-year-old as well as a 46-year-old woman. So I was very much aware of the leap."

She adds that it was important to shock and create an impact with the audience with the old look.

"I think it's time for the story to take another twist. Hence, Anjali will be seen in a slightly different look without the greys."

Depressed

Renuka says the only time she felt upset was when she was locked in the jail for her track on the show.

"I had to shoot by myself without my co-stars. I was quite depressed for that period of time. Otherwise, I have no complaints whatsoever."

annu5 I doubt that it will go off air as such rumors have been passed before!

Im really excited for next week, hope they make her look totally dashing!!! PLZ.

😆 No one wants white hair.. i have noticed all of my aunts and their friends.. are always using hairdye.. so no wonder the soap stars don't wants it either 😆
