Twas was unfathomable grief. Grief of living without a mother. Without a loving touch or a caring word.
He was lost.
The pain, indistinguishable were the emotional and physical ones. The feelings were over bearing, overflowing, constricting and choking.
He wants to forget, just for a little while.
He feels a soft hand, caring, loving. He leans into it. It was familiar and right. So, so right. She was warm and her voice caressed him, his pain dulled.
This bubble of comfort, he wanted to keep it with him always. He wanted to hold on to it forever and ever. If she left it would hurt again, so he held her tight.
He leaned in, he was so tired but her touch was so soothing, he leaned in more, feeling her all around him.
He fell into the much needed darkness.
