Lee Dong Wook And Lee Da Hae Are A Couple Again

Some are calling the upcoming drama "Hotel King" the "My Girl" reunion. That's because the actors whose chemistry sizzled in "My Girl" will also play the leads in the new weekend drama. Fans of "My Girl" loved co-stars Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae as a couple and hoped they might date in real life.

In the 2005 drama "My Girl" Lee Da Hae was a tour guide whose dad had a dangerous gambling habit. He played a hotel heir.

While hotels factor large in both dramas, there are a few differences. In the 32-episode drama "Hotel King," Lee Dong Wook plays Cha Jae Hwan, an executive at the top-rated Hotel Ciel. Cha Hae Hwan hates his father for abandoning the family when he was young and as a result of his childhood experiences, he does not let others get too close to him. He is a perfectionist with no tolerance for failure in himself or others.

He is so disliked that his employees call him the "hotel monster."

"I decided on this role because the story about a hotel sparked my curiosity," he said. "Cha Jae Hwan, who becomes a hotelier after going through a tough childhood, is very charming."

Lee Da Hae plays Ah Mo Nae, the bubbly daughter of the hotel's CEO, which means she is the hotel's heiress. After leading a charmed life of luxury, Ah Mo Nae is called on to save the hotel when it's in danger. She's fun and easy to get along with. Cha Jae Hwan is neither.

Will these two characters work together to save the hotel or will they get in each other's way?

Also in the cast lineup are N from the group VIXX and Yewon from Jewelry, playing play hotel employees. N's character sees life as fun. Yewon's character dreams that she will meet a rich man while working at the hotel.

Although Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae have not worked together for eight years, they have been busy. Since 2005, Lee Dong Wook has been in "Hanoi Bride," "La Dolce Vita," "Scent of a Woman," "Eild Romance" and "The Fugitive of Joseon."

Lee Da Hae has starred in "Hello Miss," "East of Eden," "the Slave Hunters," "The Fugitive: Plan B," "Miss Ripley," "Love Recipe," and "Iris 2."

Jo Eun Jung, who wrote the weekend drama "Feast of the Gods" and the daily drama "Goldish" will write the screenplay for "Hotel King." Kim Dae Jin, who directed "Just Like Today" will direct.

The drama begins on March 29 and will follow "Golden Rainbow.

Hotel King is a fabulous show from the two episodes I've seen. It's turning out to be one of my favourite K dramas ever

The leads have awesome chemistry so no surprises there. Plus it's much better than My Girl
