While most journalists find it difficult to get in touch with Amitabh Bachchan, 😆it took one article for him to write in to us very promptly. In the interest of fairness, as you said, we are publishing your version of the story too, Mr Bachchan

On the entertainment page 35, you have carried a story "Not without my son!" written by Sandipan Dalal, where he has stated certain facts which are completely erroneous, false and irresponsible. Mr J P Dutta has NOT signed me for any film leave alone "Aakhri Mughal" which the article informs. I have also never ever recommended my son Abhishek's name to any producer. The article insinuates that I would only be part of this film provided Abhishek were to essay the role of Crown Prince Mirza Mughal. This too is completely false and erroneous.

In the interest of fairness, I shall be most grateful, if my response could be equally and fairly carried by your paper.

Oh! i thought he will bring out a full-page ad in newspapers for this clarification 😆

I think mumbai mirror is unhappy that he didnt give them any full page ads, thats why they are publishing such baseless rumours. 😆
