Burglary on the sets

The set of Kayamath has become a haven for thieves. Recently, a thief broke into a vanity van of the show's actresses on the sets when all the actresses, Neena Kulkarni,Sanjeeda, Vinisha Dugar, Sajini Srivastav and Wini Bhatt were shooting together. The actresses were aghast when they came back to their van. Items worth Rs 40,000 went missing from their bags.
Reportedly, Neena Kulkarni, who plays Dadi in the serial, lost her IPod, MP3 player and some gold trinkets, Vinisha aka Sukriti lost her purse containing Rs 3,000, Sajini aka Niharika found her bag left torn apart, Purvi lost her expensive earrings and Sanjeeda aka Ayesha lost her make- up kit.
Says a source in the production house, "Everyone was needed for a particular sequence and they left the van unattended. After they returned to the van, the actresses were in for complete shock. They immediately called the police and reported the incident. The shooting was stalled for more than two hours. The cops checked everyone's bags and everything was scanned on the set. Everyone on the set was interrogated. But nothing was recovered."
Adds the source, "It is difficult to keep tabs on 50 unit members all the time. It could be an outsider too."
Says Vinisha aka Sukriti in the show, "We were all scared after the incident. We have decided to take precautions and be more careful henceforth. The production house too has tightened the security."
