((((((((( ji! welcome to debate mansion!!

All types of education are necessary in the school level! But with in limits in a matured manner and I think it is advisable if there are no practicals regarding this type of education!

But what to do subjects like Physics ,Chemistry,Botony ... subjects have practicals and theory😃!

I still remember how these chapters in biology text book were looked at😉!!

Cheers,

@ (((((( ... I helped with the other essay... now, you are on your own.😆 I feel mean saying that ... hmm, lets see... at least you are honest, and not gonna start a debate only to "steal" others' ideas (which some might be worried about...it's not a good practice.. be original😊) .... so, back to topic... I haven't ever given a thought to the topic, but it is important😊 to be discussed especially with kids....with all the peer pressure that goes around, and the discomfort and awkwardness of such things to be discussed at home... gosh, I remember these people came to educate girls regarding mens. cycles, and only girls' were invited, I think.... and I don't know why in India there is a taboo regarding this issue... everything has to be secretive.😕🤢

Anyways, I don't think I have "good" points on the isssue. Filter out if you like something I wrote. 😊 And add your own ideas.

Persy

I think it is important that such type of education is carried out in schools. While growing up, children are curious to know about it but it is considered to be a taboo to talk or discuss about it with your parents or elders. Many parents try and avoid such types of topics. In order to learn more about this subject children resort to magazines, hearsay from friends with half knowledge and net (whoever can have access). They try and interpret it in their own way. Movies also influence their thought process and young boys and girls try and experiment it, which can be very unsafe.

In order to educate them in a right way, such type of education should be introduced in schools. Though this education can be introduced say around when the children reach 7th or 8th std and not before that.

Though Indian govt is against such type of an exercise, they should try and introduce it in Indian schools.

No dont have sex education, it removes the fizz out of life which we carry with our innocent ignorance and then we start killing people like Cho did...or become inverts in some cases. I think its better to leave many high schoolers think, that the stork gets the baby or that women cough out babies,.....etc...😆. wallowing in sweet ignorance....and let life unfold at its own pace... dont corrupt minds with too much of teaching....

😲 Seriously? Don't tell me these are the same people who don't let couples hold hands in public? 😆😆

Anyways, I remember having a seminar kind of thing on Aids, and mens. cycles while I was in Indian school. Were those illegal ? 😕 😆 ... what exactly is prohibited? 😕

Interesting thoughts, but since when does education corrupt minds?😆 I don't think we are talking of teaching it to little kids.. kids at a reasonable age.😆 Late middle school -- HS.😊

Agree with what you have said! Everything need not be taught ,people will know the things when proper age comes! But does'nt this thought of beauty of sweet ignorance fetch somany unwanted results!!!!Anyhow it is good not to discuss these issues but knowledge of those things is necessary atleast after 12 or 13 years!

But I hate the discussions on news channels on the topics:

Should matured teens be allowed to have sex?

What's wrong in discussing the issues of sex?

Especially Barkha dutt of NDTV and sagarika ghosh of CNN IBN are interested in these type of debates!

INDIA TODAY magazine also got over consciouss of its role of imparting sex education among fellow Indians,so few months back it dedicated several weeks to these issues and it got brickbats from viewers!

Wishes,

Mythili
