Shotgun returns Abhi-Ash mithai

Shatrughan Sinha is not one to forgive and forget. Miffed at not being invited to Bollywood's wedding of the year, Sinha refused to accept the shaadi ka mithai that Amitabh Bachchan sent him after his son Abhishek's wedding to Aishwarya Rai in Mumbai recently. The sweets were sent to Sinha's house thrice and all three times they were sent back by the Rajya Sabha member, who has had a three-decade association with Bachchan. Though Sinha was not home when the sweets arrived, his staff returned the gift-wrapped boxes on his instructions. "Jab bulaaya nahin phir mithai kis baat ki? Amitabh had said those who had not been invited were not his friends in the first place. I won't be put in second place and embarrass him by accepting the sweets," Sinha told MiD DAY. "The least I expected was that either Amitabh or someone from the family would call me up before sending the sweets. When that was not done, why the mithai?" added Sinha. On why he had not been invited, Sinha retorted, "Hema Malini was not invited, neither were Dharmendra and Ramesh Sippy." "Half of the industry that has stood by the Bachchans through thick and thin. All of us are currently in second place as Amitabh is being guided by a misguided missile called Amar Singh." The guest list for the Abhi-Ash wedding has led to a lot of resentment and heart-burn, as many members of the film fraternity have felt slighted at not being invited. About those people, Bachchan had said after the wedding, "If they are offended because they weren't invited, then they weren't my friends in the first place."

and then not be invited to one of the most importand events of the family.................thas gotta hurt...............ouch

Well if he said that it doesnt make any sens.e He was the one whose supposed to invite them so if he didnt then obviously he didnt consider them as his friends. To say that those who were offended werent his frineds- well duh if somone supports you through 'thick and thin' then they are your truest friends and obviousky if u dont invite them to yr only sons wedding then those ppl are gonna get offended. So instead saying that, look at yrself 1st- you didnt invite them to the wedding cos you didnt think they were yr friends.

Anyway im a firm believer of all the goes round come round and tomorrow when the rest of the fraternity have a wedding they sd leave the bachans out. Esp Ash who got invited to both zayed and fardeen's wedding and never bothered inviting them to hers- how horrible.

A few days before the AbhiAsh wedding, I remember seeing a clip of Hema and Shotgun in the news where they were coming out of parliament and asked if they had any message for AbhiAsh, and both of them just walked away silently, without wishing the couple. Now I know that they were miffed at not being invited😆 It's kinda weird that Hema wasn't invited because Jaya had appeared with Hema on KWK and it seemed that they were "friends", but I guess not.

hema along with dharmendra were invited as the media says...but since their daughters weren't invited the entire family did not go.

jaya considered hema's daughters as her daughters (and i pretty sure that abhi and esha are also childhood friends) soo hema got upset that her daughters weren't invited

do u have to invite the kids separately if they're living with their parents? i thought you just invite the parents and kids who live with them just automatically get an invite.

sometimes on the invitation card they write to mr. and mrs. so and so...this means only them to

sometimes they write mr. / mrs. soo and family

or mr and mrss sooo and family
