A story always has two main characters. The protagonist and the antagonist. The protagonist really would not be able to survive a story alone. It is the negative element that makes the positive shine the way they do. What's more they give purpose to a story.

Imagine Cinderella without the evil step mother and sisters? Red Riding Hood without the wolf? And closer home, Zoya Farooqui (Surbhi Jyoti) without Razia Siddiqui (Alka Kaushal) or Tanveer (Amrapali Gupta)? Zoya would have married Asad long ago without any hitches and found her father as well.

So, today we are going to talk about the negative elements and the grey shades. Imagine Humeira Siddiqui's (Ketki Kadam) life without Haider Shaikh (Mohit Sehgal)?

The villains are what makes a story interesting. Gives it layers and dimensions that tests the protagonist. The journey seems real for besides these real elements of negativity there are of course other negative forces. Self doubt. Circumstantial evidences. Low Self-esteem.

That is what the villains of a story play on. We applaud people like Alka Kaushal, Amrapali Gupta and Mohit Sehgal who bring shivers down one's spine. They bring all that is sinister and dark that makes us appreciate what is good and positive in our life.

We do. It is called traffic.
