It now feels like homecoming: Vivian Dsena

Vivian Dsena needs no introduction to the tele-viewers! From Abhay in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani to essaying the character of glamourous superstar RK in Madhubala... Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Vivian has grabbed a lot of attention.
It came as a shock to viewers when Vivian decided to quit Madhubala... as the show was taking an 18 year leap and he refrained from playing father of a teenager. But now, post two months, Vivian is making a comeback on the show. We caught up with the actor as he prepares to make a comeback. Excerpts:
How does it feel to be back on the sets of Madhubala? Madhubala has been our baby. It feels like homecoming as I make a comeback in the show. And there was no reason to say 'no' as I got Abhinav's (Shukla) call asking me to be a part of the show again. It is because of the rapport I share with him that I couldn't turn him down.
We hear your character is that of a mentally challenged person... I am still unaware about how my character is going to shape up. Abhinav simply called and said 'Vivian, I have a role for you which I'm sure only you'll be able to pull off' and when I asked about the character his reply was 'we're still sketching it, so wait for sometime'. So my role is still a surprise for me! Let's see what they have in store for me.
Seems like it is a completely new look and a different challenge for you. Indeed. And I feel lucky it is rare for an actor that in one show you get to play different characters. I am getting to learn a lot, exploring myself more as an actor and polish my acting skills with such opportunities in the same show! With this new character, I'm excited and a little nervous too, I'm confident but not overconfident because I know it kills the performance. And I am aware that there's no formula to act " it simply comes from within so, I'm prepared to give my 100% to the role.
And what all did you do as you took a two months' break? I had decided to lose weight and visit my hometown Ujjain. I was busy gorging on homemade delicacies in my hometown which I miss so much when I'm in Mumbai. That apart, I enjoyed my siesta, gorged on namkeens and sweets like rabdi, rasmalai and met all my friends there. It feels so good to be with those who were a part of your life when you were not popular; and the best part is they are still the same. I'm lucky to have genuine people in my life and they keep you level-headed. And it is essential, otherwise you're most likely to lose control.
So did you lose any weight? I am not someone who believes in going for a crash diet to lose weight. I'm a foodie. I prefer hitting a gym or playing football to lose weight. But, I can't follow a chart on what to eat and what not to eat. So, along with my food indulgences, I keep working out and people on sets did compliment me that I've lost weight.

Did you and Vahbiz go for a holiday or cherished much needed 'we time' during this break? Unfortunately, Vahbiz had to go to Pune for some work and so, I went home all alone. But, I ensured to go to Pune after I was back. In fact, we manage to take out 'we time' however busy we are. We go for movies, shopping, dining or just simply sit and talk over a cup of coffee. And interestingly, we had an event to attend in Dubai after my role was wrapped up so, we stayed there for a couple of days more and it was fun.
And what do you prefer doing when you have some time for your self? I love to cook, spend time with my loved ones and watch movies.
