I was so happy with her reaction.
Just yesterday I made a comment on another thread saying that while I felt sorry for her, I didn't feel complete sympathy for her, as up until now she didn't really think for herself, she didn't ever question that maybe Rudra was telling her the truth about everything. It's like she didn't want to have doubt on her own people, that she was willingly blind to some of the situation. But I also stated that Paro always ends up doing the right thing, nothing is ever about her ego, she admits when she's wrong, and that happened today, and it was great to watch. I wanted them to show her grow as a character, and to show that she can be strong.
I've been saying from the start that it's possible for a innocent, vulnerable, naive, elegant, soft-spoken girl to still be strong and stand up for what's right, and I'm happy to say that Paro has proven that today. She broke the stereotype of most Indian female leads, that a woman can't be both strong and feminine, usually female leads are shown as either damsels in distress, who always need help of others, and never stand up for themselves, or as tomboyish characters who are outspoken. But with Paro we finally have a female lead, who comes across as very feminine and strong too. The Paro we saw today was completely realistic.
Like she said today, she might not have the physical strength of a man, but she definitely has the emotional strength to cope in this world, and she is probably the only one with enough emotional strength to handle Rudra. It's kind of funny actually how they both will end up relying on each other, and yet they each have so much pain individually that they can't really support themselves at certain points. That's the beauty of their relationship, they balance each other out, and they need each other.
